Why I Love November Running

It’s November!

With the Army Ten Miler behind me and plans with friends preempting the Richmond Half, I have no more races on my calendar. Still, I set my alarm this weekend so I could go for a sunrise run. As I was warming up, I realized that I was running because that’s what I like to do.

I love being outside at daybreak.

I love the fresh, crisp air.

I love that it’s cool enough for long sleeves, but not so cold that I need to bundle up.

I love the fall colors in the trees.

I love clearing my head and leaving my stress on the trail.

I love stopping at Starbucks® on the way home for a Grande Thanksgiving Blend.

What do you like to do in November?

  3. Oh hooray. I do love November when it's not trying too hard to be December. I just want to be outside all the time and start bundling up. 🙂

I love it when you're in the zone and really loving running! November is almost always my "break" month to recharge for the next season, so no running for me this month. I can't wait to get back at it and loving it like this after Thanksgiving1

I love to run in the Fall too… the leaves brighten up the landscape and I kinda like the rotting smell of them!

  6. I've always had mixed feelings about November for no particular reason. My favorite month is October but I love running in November too and the cooler (not freezing) temps. And the leaves!

its really cold here in PA now. I went for a run outside on Sunday and man oh man was it rough to get out of bed! After my race on Saturday I came home and drank some hot chocolate! (:

I have a love/hate with November running.. I don't get any daylight before or after work, I struggle dressing just right for it, but when I do get out, it's very enjoyable!
