Putting Off The Inevitable

I went into the office twice this week, but have decided to put off the inevitable return for a little while longer. Despite soaking in this serene view on my run, I felt out of sorts and exhausted after my two 3/4 days of work in D.C.

Lawyers Have Heart At Home

This weekend I ran 10K for the Lawyers Have Heart on my own again. I won’t even call it a virtual race because I didn’t push my pace. I didn’t even plan a 10K route–I just stopped my Garmin at 6.2 miles so I would have a time to enter on the participation page.

May Miles, June Goals

What a difference a week makes. Last weekend was gloomy and chilly; this weekend was sunny and sweltering! The weather has crossed the line from spring into summer, making it a good time to look back on my May miles and look ahead to my June Goals.

Coffee Date At A June Juncture

Welcome to the June 2021 edition of the Ultimate Coffee Date! I feel like I’m at the juncture of pandemic and post-pandemic living, not quite ready to cross that line. I’ve enjoyed a few in-person coffee dates since we last got together virtually, but my husband and I are still more comfortable keeping our date night dining outside. No matter whether you’re at home or at a café, Deborah and I are happy to host you at our virtual coffee date. We just ask that you visit other blogs in the link up.

Mellow Memorial Day Weekend

This should have been a great Memorial Day Weekend. We’re vaccinated. Our cars have gas in their tanks. The cicadas aren’t that bad. But the cold, rainy weather made it a mellow few days. I’m not going to complain, though. Memorial Day isn’t really about the beach and barbecues anyway.
