Anniversary Coffee Date
If we were having coffee, I would tell you my anniversary didn’t really sneak up on me, but I’ve been so swamped at work I haven’t had time to think about it. Since we got married 5 years after we started dating, we’ve actually been together 43 years!

I’ve also been blogging long enough to have an anniversary-ish post from our 23rd and the photo above from 2008. Maybe this weekend we will put on our lederhosen kits and get out for a ride!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that since I got back from Ireland I adjusted my morning routine to stop at Starbucks on the way in. It’s a bit of a hassle and probably adds almost 10 minutes to my commute, but for now it’s worth it. I hear they are closing 250 stores this week, but this neighborhood store is not on the list I saw.
I’ve also upped my order to a venti
although I often don’t drink it all.
Talking about closed Starbucks, if we were having coffee, I would tell you they did take out the Starbucks in the Safeway in the same shopping center. I don’t shop there, but it has a Quest where I get blood drawn for my thyroid checks. I went there twice last month and it was only on the second trip that I noticed it was gone! 🤦♀️

I had to get it done because next week I’m going to Copenhagen for work. 😎 I’m kind of bummed my client meetings didn’t align with Carianne’s trip, but I’ll catch up to her one of these days!

That puzzle is super cute. :] They took out the Starbucks in the Safeway near us too, but I haven't gotten anything from them through my app in ages because it won't ever load for me. :'( (It's okay though, I just order through my bf's app, hehehe.)

WHY are they closing Starbucks? Are they not doing well? That’s so hard to believe. I’ll have to look this up! I was just thinking today… in about a month the holiday cups will be out.

They actually built a new Starbucks here right across the street from a grocery store that has one inside. I’m wondering when the grocery store one might close.

No anniversary traditions… jan 16. we’ve said we’d go back Virgin Is where we honeymooned but never did.

Happy #38!! Like others have asked, I hope you can plan something fun for 40! We did a trip when we got to 15 years in 2026, and that was a lot of fun because we typically don’t do much to celebrate. Ours is in April which is right when my busy season for work is and craziness at school starts too.
Happy Anniversary and cheers to 38 years! My husband and I are celebrating 34 in a couple of weeks. We don’t really have any traditions though we try to go for a quick getaway when schedules cooperate.
That’s a great puzzle – I’ve had a couple of friends (incuding Cari) who have gone recently and now it’s on my list of places to visit. I hope you can squeeze in some fun on that work trip!

I love that puzzle! We have one at work that was finished over a month ago, and it’s been sitting on the table ever since. I’m tempted to disassemble it & start over, LOL.
