July Pandemic Runfessions

In July, my church started holding services outside. We wear masks, set up our own lawn chairs more than 6 feet apart, and participate in the order of Holy Communion–with no one partaking of the bread or wine. Our service includes a confessional prayer, but I still need to visit the runfessional at Marcia’s Healthy Slice in order to cleanse my soles. July has been a long month, so there’s plenty to runfess.

I enjoyed going out to eat for our Saturday “date nights.” I even enjoyed my business trips–especially when my itinerary had room for a scenic run or dinner with a friend. My new routine has none of that variety, and I think that’s why it’s so tiring.

My Mid-Year Updates

Now that we are halfway through 2020, I want to share some mid-year updates. So much has changed since I dropped my daughter off at the airport early on New Year’s Day. It’s hard to imagine life ever being the same again, but chances are we’ll be looking back on 2020 and finding it hard to believe all we went through.
