A Scientific Approach To Planning Your Exercise Routine

Last week I participated in a Fitfluential Twitter Chat that was sponsored by Reebok (#LiveWithFire) and featured Chris Powell (host of Extreme Weightloss) and his wife Heidi Powell as co-hosts. It was a great chat and so much fun to be able to tweet with them! Why I Turned Off The New Gmail Inbox

I was slightly annoyed with the new Gmail inbox, but after a few days I got used to it. I didn’t mind having my junk emails sorted to the “Promotions” tab, and it was pretty cool having all my Facebook update emails sorted to the “Social” tab. When I learned that you can “teach” Gmail where to sort emails from a given sender, I thought that could be pretty useful.

When I was a kid, these Calgon commercials made “Calgon, take me away!” a silly way to say, I need a vacation!”

Exploring Washington DC Bike Paths

Trails and Rails To Trails

In the year since I starting cycling with my husband, we’ve ridden on bike paths in local national parks, like the Mount Vernon Trail and Rock Creek Park, and on rails-to-trails bike paths, like the Capital Crescent Trail and the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. I generally prefer the rails-to-trails paths because they are wider, but it is nice to have so much variety and so many options to choose from.
