Holding On To My Good Mood

I’m still riding the waves of the good mood that rolled in last week. With a few days at the beach later this week, I’m going to hold on to my boogie board and keep soaking it in. A week of cooler weather meant more Scooby miles, and Peloton dropped a ton of fun classes for its annual All For One Music Festival weekend, making it easy to hold on to good vibes.

Looking forward to being at my happy place!

Holding On To My Good Mood

Great weather for outdoor runs. Fun music for indoor workouts. What more could I ask for? More hours in the day maybe?

Peloton AFO 2022 Line Up

Kim will have her work cut out for her if she does all the All For One classes—there are supposed to be 160 altogether (including a few 5-10 min stretches and warm-ups). I might take at least one class with each artist—there are 33! I’m still looking forward to Christine’s Florence and the Machine Ride and Jess Sims’s T-Pain strength class—he makes a guest appearance!

I kept up with the Breakthrough Crew arms and light weights challenge, but I’m not gonna lie, I am getting bored with the format. There’s only so many biceps curls and triceps kick-backs a person can take.

Monday: 10 min Core + 30 min FB Strength +10 min ALW
I started the week my favorite way—with a solid strength stack.

Tuesday: 10 min Core + 10 min LB + 4.2 Scooby miles + 10 min ALW
It was barely light out when I started running just before 6, but full daylight by the time I got back home. Pretty soon I’ll have to get out my headlamp.

Same run, about 2 miles apart!

Wednesday: 10 min Core + 30 min HIIT + Hills Ride + 10 min ALW
I was going into the office so I had to be more mindful of my workout time. I thought I needed a bit of a warm up before Hannah’s HIIT + Hills ride, and landed on Robin’s new-ish pre-run warm-up.

Thursday: 20 min Core + 10 min LB + 5.3 Scooby Miles  + 10 min ALW
I was going to do a 3 mile run and then a lower body strength workout, but it was so nice I opted for a 4 mile loop instead, and then tacked on a loop around the neighborhood school to keep going.

Friday: 5 min Core + 30 min Intervals + Arms Ride + 10 min ALW
Yes, I’m bored with ALW classes but still chose an Intervals + Arms ride, which includes two “breaks” with the same type of exercises using 2-3 lb. weights. Go figure.

Saturday: AFO Strength Classes + Conte’s Hill Ride + AFO Tread Classes
Peloton’s AFO weekend started Friday, but after my morning workout, so Saturday was my first day taking AFO classes. I did one stack before the Conte’s Hill Ride, and then couldn’t resist taking a few of the Tread runs when we got home.

There was quite a contrast between the Saweetie core class
(with very explicit lyrics)
and the Rascal Flatts barre class. 🙂

Sunday: 10 min Core + 5.3 Scooby Miles
I stacked a line-up of AFO classes, mostly with artists I am not familiar with—except for the Florence and The Machine stretch. The humidity was back, but I imagined the ocean breezes I’ll be enjoying later this week. 😉

A huge thank you to Deborah and Kim for hosting the Weekly Run Down link up.

Are you still holding on to summer?

Beach and concert. That would put me in a good mood.

Yes. I’m sad summer is ending. Especially that it gets darker earlier and earlier.

At least the mornings are cooler.

  2. jenny says:

Yay! I’m glad you’re feeling good. Now that both my kids are back in school, i’ve moved past summer, but I can’t say the same for our weather. It’s going to be hot here for a couple more months (at least.)
Wow, Peloton is really killing it with their AFO classes! I usually listen to podcasts when I run but I may have to try one of these.
Enjoy your time at the beach!

  3. Cari says:

    Yay beach time.
I generally don’t have bike FOMO, but there are some bike classes I’d love to do with these musicians. Maybe I’ll pair one with a CitiBike ride on the greenway since I won’t do audio on streets

  4. I gotta say, I’m not recognizing many of the AFO artists, LOL. I guess that’s not all bad, because it’s good to be exposed to new things…but I’ll be treading lightly. I’m ready to bring back some variety…I finished both Tunde’s and Matty’s challenges this week. I’m glad you’re feeling good!! Onward!

Almost headlamp season! sad. I hope it doesn’t happen here for a few more weeks as my head lamp is in our freight shipment that hasn’t arrived.

Sounds like an awesome week with a great variety. Enjoy the beach!

I can’t wait to know where your happy place will be at the beach next week! Definitely a well-deserved break.
Some nice Scooby miles this week. Who looks after Scooby when you go in to the office? Does your husband work from home on those days?

    • Coco says:

Scooby’s fine on his own most of the day, but now that we can, we do usually trade-off on going-in-to-the-office days. I also usually can leave work mid-afternoon to get home for him — and then log back into work.

  7. Kimberly G says:

LoL 😂 Yup I will definitely have my work cut out for me but it should be fun getting through the classes!

Love that you will be enjoying some beach time this week – enjoy!

  8. Michele Heller says:

What a great music lineup. Looks like you have your work and fun cut out for you. Great workout week. Yes, it’s sad that it’s darker in the morning again. I miss my sunrise runs. Have a great week.

  9. Yay for a beach getaway coming up later this week – have fun! We’re heading to the OBX next week!

  10. Jenn says:

Yay for Scooby Miles and great music! I’m so glad you get to keep riding the wave of good vibes!
