If we were having coffee, I would tell you that my favorite client gave me the Starbucks gift card that’s embedded with Swarovskyยฎ crystals!

Starbucks Card

It’s too pretty to use–or risk losing–so I will transfer the balance to my Starbucks app and keep the card in a safe place. He also gave me the Starbucks Swarovskyยฎ ornament, which I’ve given a place of honor on my office bulletin board.

Bulletin Board

OK,  there’s a lot on that bulletin board,
but the ornament is right of center in this view.

A few years ago he gave me the Starbucks Steel Card (<< I wrote that post before I got it!) and I don’t mind that he’s made over-the-top Starbucks gifts a holiday tradition. ๐Ÿ™‚

My son got a French press for Christmas, and has been grinding beans and making coffee every morning, so we’ve had quite the caffeinated holiday season!

Did you get any fun gifts?

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I did pretty well tackling my to-do list at work this week (yay for quiet phones and empty email in-boxes!), but I didn’t get to all the organizing I wanted to do. Maybe I can dedicate half an hour a day next week to sorting through those piles of paper I didn’t get to. I also want to go through my closets and cupboards at home, and donate things I just don’t use anymore. It’s a tough chore to get motivated to do, but once it’s done it feels so good!

Do you do year-end organizing or do you save it for Spring cleaning?

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’ve been weaning myself off of Christmas cookies this week, and am truly ready to get back to healthy eating. It’s hard with my son home from college, but he doesn’t go back to school until the end of January, so I can’t keep using him as an excuse!

Are you recommitting to your healthy habits this weekend?

Happy new year! That is a gorgeous gift card! o_o I’d never be able to use that either if I were you, haha. Good thing you can transfer it to the app! :]

One of my funnest Christmas gifts this year = a zebra(?) onesie and super soft fuzzy shoes! ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. I spent the week sorting, reorganizing and cleaning. It feels so great to start the new year like that ! I need to start weaning myself off the holiday food too. Ugh.

  3. I have cleaned out the frig and got rid of the last of the Christmas goodies! It does fell good! We have been tackling the last half of our garage project this weekend so I expect to see some stuff in the garbage pile! I want to start the new year with at least one clean space! ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy New Year Coco!

  4. Ooh what a cool Starbucks gift card! Ugh yeah to eating way too much on vacation I’m looking forward to returning to my own bed tonight! Always fun to catch up with you! Happy new year again and we need an in person coffee date soon

  5. Wow that’s some gift card ๐Ÿ˜‰

I started cleaning my home office yesterday – the piles of paper were becoming epic! I’ll definitely be reeling in my eating habits too – thank goodness all the sweets in my house are now gone! Happy new year!!

  6. Lindsey says:

I also got Starbucks gift cards ๐Ÿ™‚ Since I was/am trying to cut back on coffee, they should last a little while! I am also trying to wean myself of Christmas sweets…I always feel slightly “deprived” if I don’t at least try the snacks my coworkers bring in…bad, bad idea most of the time… Happy new year!

  7. Oh my word, that gift card is spectacular! Favorite clients are the best!! Here’s to lots of great coffee and great running in 2016! Happy New Year!

  8. Happy New Year!!

Those Christmas cookies! For me it is Christmas Chocolates!!

Oooh fancy Starbucks gift cards…- have never seen those. What a nice client ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the smell of fresh coffee-what a nice way to wake up.

Enjoy your son-I am sure you will miss him once he is back at school.

No cool gifts this year but a nice Macy’s gift card that I can’t wait to spend ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Coco says:

You know, some people put down gift cards, but in my family they are A-OK. We are all so picky and have so much already, with a gift card we can get what we really want/need.

  9. Kristen says:

I got a Nespresso last year and have enjoyed it all year long! They are the best…and I also love organizing and getting settled in the New Year – looking forward to doing more of that next week when I start enjoying my vacation days at home. ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Goodness I haven’t been home long enough to do any cleaning period. In a couple of weeks I plan on doing that and tackle my closet! Yup it is one of my goals for 2016! I do love that Starbucks gift card and yes it’s a keeper for sure! Thanks Coco for hosting this link up!!! I wish you and your family a great 2016!!!

  11. Courtney says:

I finally emptied the last couple boxes from our April move. It felt really good! Thanks for hosting!

  12. I need to start organizing. I’m going to take down the decorations and then tackle the house, room by room. Ugh…

    • Coco says:

I decided to take down the decorations to put off more organizing. There’s only so much productivity I can squeeze out of myself in a given day!

  13. That gift card is amazing! I’m slowly realizing how serious people are about their Starbucks! I am trying to wean myself off of the sweets today (I was REALLY bad yesterday)…too many leftovers that I’m trying to “get rid of”!

  14. Darlene says:

I really need to de-clutter – too many clothes that I don’t wear anymore – but it’s so tiresome.

I just use the app on my phone but the gift card is cool.

I got some adult coloring books – I may be addicted.

  15. We went on an organizing rampage yesterday in the kids’ playroom and some dressers. You’re right, organizing is a hard task to get motivated for but once it’s done, you feel great!! I’m a little jealous of the Starbucks card and ornament with crystals! There’re beautiful!

    • Coco says:

Yeah, I never would buy them for myself, but I am enjoying looking at them. Pretty things aren’t all bad! Nice work on the organizing. I need to pick one thing to tackle next instead of wanting to organize “everything” which is too overwhelming.

  16. I have never seen such a fancy Starbuck’s card!

I organized my pantry, spices and teas/coffee (after being shamed by my brother.) On the upside, I am doing a great GF baking mix giveaway with my post b/c I NEVER BAKE! Why am I hoarding these mixes!?

    Happy New Year!

  17. Lauren says:

Your starbucks gift card is so pretty! What a fab gift!! Happy New Year! I will be linking up next time:)

  18. HoHo Runs says:

I’m sorry I missed the first coffee date of the year. I had traveling and with crazy work just didn’t get it done beforehand. I’m very impressed with your Starbucks Swarvosky gifts. Who thinks of that stuff? I didn’t really overeat but can tell I’ve had too much sugar over the holidays. It makes me feel…blech. No sugar this week! Happy New Year, Coco!
