Three Things I Could Eat Every Day

I am a creature of habit, especially when it comes to what I eat, but every once in a while I mix things up. Here are three things I’ve tried recently that I could eat every day.

Three Things I Could Eat Every Day

I love overnight oats, and I love dried cherries, and I love coconut Chobani®. A few weeks ago I had the brilliant idea to try to put them together for a fantastic breakfast that I could eat every day at work.

It took a few tries to find the right ratio of ingredients, but this overnight oats recipe is a keeper:

(no need for precise measurements, but these are the general proportions)

As part of my efforts to get back to my healthy habits after the holidays, I’ve committed to making salad something I eat every day. I go through phases of wanting the crunch of romaine hearts or mixed greens with the bite of arugula, but recently I stumbled upon a salad mix with even more variety.

I realized that one of the flavors I really like in this salad mix is the parsley! My love of Middle Eastern food has taught me that parsley is more than a garnish, but who knew that it would be a salad ingredient I’d want to eat every day?

An un-healthy habit that I’ve succumbed to is snacking on tortilla chips. While they are something that I could eat every day, I know they are not the best option. When both Triscuits and Eggland’s Best hard cooked eggs were on sale last week, I thought they would make a better snack combination.

The crackers provide the salty crunch that has me addicted to chips, while the eggs make it a more balanced snack with the staying power of protein.

Now, if only my family would eat the same thing for dinner every day! 😉

Do you have favorite foods you could eat every day?

I am with you on eggs! I fix them every morning for breakfast and then sometimes later in the day for a snack as well!

Apples and peanut butter! It’s a snack I started making for my 3 year old and then started eating with her. I much prefer to eat apple slices than a whole apple, and the peanut butter is so great with it!

ha, your 3 things are not 3 things I eat regularly.
Um… pizza for sure is something I can eat every day, only because you can vary a pizza. Other than that I get sick of having the same food day after day.

  4. Mine would be Greek Yogurt, clementines, and Quest bars.
And a million bad foods like ice cream and pizza which I am not allowed to do.

I love Strawberries with cream cheese frosting and salmon, but I hardly eat it since it’s so expensive. I love snacking on tortilla chips too! I picked up a bag of Quinoa and Black Bean Tortilla chips from Trader Joes yesterday and they’re really good. I like that they don’t have a lot of salt on them.

Well, I could eat Potato Chips every day but like you I know it’s not the best choice. I guess I don’t really have a set go-to.

I love eggs, peppers and oats 🙂 Definitely staples for me.

    We are food twins!
Oatmeal, greek yogurt and dried fruit are my breakfast standard.
Always mixed greens a lunch (with some lean protein of course)
And eggs; although we don’t have Eggland’s best up here (gotta love the pre-hard boiled ones). Scrambled with veggies and avocado. Yum!

Years back when I was in the fourth grade I would eat three eggs everyday for breakfast and that’s all I would eat. I would bring them to school in a little piece of foil. Kids always made fun of me for the obsession but I didn’t care cause I loved eggs that much.

  10. I have overnight oats with flax and blueberries every day. Except on long run weekend days when I take essentially the same ingredients and grind them up to a pancake batter.

I also have an apple every day 🙂

Oh, I wish my family ate the same thing for dinner every day too. Although my kids would have pancakes for dinner every day if it was an option.

That first combination seems really interesting…I will definitely add it to my breakfast…maybe throw some protein powder in there as well 🙂

FRUIT! Dear goodness. If I could get fresh summer fruit every day of the year I would probably weigh a lot less than I do now. I’m really picky about fresh fruit so it has to be just right.

PS I’m visiting from the SITS comment love tribe. Nice to meet you!
