Happy New Year!
I’ve never been very good at making (or keeping!) New Year’s resolutions, but it is hard to resist setting a few goals to get the New Year off to a healthy start. Chasing after goals is always more fun with a group of friends to provide support, encouragement and accountability, so I was excited to see that Katrina Elle is hosting a Challenge Loop challenge for the month of January.
As you might guess from the name of this challenge, the idea is to focus on just one thing you can change (one habit, one priority) to have a more fit and healthy life. (Click here to go to the Challenge Loop site and sign up). In addition to the Challenge Loop forum, we can support each other using the #Just1Thing hashtag on Twitter.
My just one thing? Focusing on drinking at least 64 ounces of water a day.
In addition to joining Katrina’s challenge, I also will be using my Waterlogged App to keep track of my water consumption. I already have it set to push out reminder alerts several times a day, but I will start paying attention to them again. 😉

Are you good about drinking enough water?
Do you make New Year’s Resolutions?
Is there just ONE thing you could focus on for a healthier 2014?
what a great challenge idea! I’m afraid my attention span is too short these days with marathon training so that’s the only one thing I can focus on!! I don’t make resolutions either but have set a few goals. Happy New Year!
I never really drink much water during the day – however, since being home for the holidays (and it’s really cold) I have been drinking a ton, thanks to drinking lots of hot hot tea! ha ha. But once I go back to LA, I probably will fail to drink enough during the day. That being said, at night – SO MUCH WATER is consumed! lol – I am one strange individual! So weird. 😉
Happy New Year!!!
Interesting. I drink very little water after I get home from work — I’m trying to change that.
Drinking enough water is a great challenge. Happy new year!
I love your goal!!
I have actually had more than 1 nurse tell me that I might drink too much water. I have a big Bubba keg and I usually drink 6-10 a day. I’m rarely without water.
Happy New Year!
You do need to be careful with that, although as long as you aren’t chugging it you probably will be ok.
I joined too. I am focusing on stretching and foam rolling everyday.
Those are good ones! I could use more of that in my life too.
My resolution is something I always need to work on – being 100% present and mindful, whatever I am doing/thinking about
You know mono-tasking is such a challenge for me! I am trying to do one thing at a time, really I am!
