My daughter recently adopted a vegan lifestyle. Not only does she follow a vegan diet, she has transitioned her wardrobe to non-animal based fabrics, donated her Uggs, and replaced her beauty products. Since baking is one of my love languages, I was eager to find vegan recipes I could make for her. Luckily my friend had a fantastic recipe for vegan chocolate chip cookies that has become a favorite no matter whom I’m baking for.

I’ve cut down on brand relationships over the past few months, but when the Farm To Fork Fondo decided to have an official ambassador program, I couldn’t resist. I’ve worked with them for the past two years, and knew supporting their events would be a natural fit. We already signed up for Farm To Fork Fondo–Pennsylvania Dutch at the end of June, and are looking forward to the gorgeous scenery–even at the price of those Lancaster hills!

It’s the last Friday of the month and the last Friday of Lent, so I ‘m grateful for the opportunity to cleanse my sweaty soles before heading to church for Good Friday services.

The big news of the week around here was our spring snow day on Wednesday. The forecast was so dire school closings were announced Tuesday evening, before any snowflakes had stuck to the ground. Even the Federal government was closed, despite clear roads at 4:00 am when OPM made that announcement.

When I went to bed, I was doubtful. The rain/snow line of most storms falls somewhere near us, and we usually end up mostly on the rain side. When I woke up, I was still doubtful–and a bit disappointed when I looked out the window and saw bare pavement on the roads.
