Saying Goodbye To Tiger Lilly

Last week life took me on quite an emotional roller coaster ride. I started the week riding the high of our great visit with our daughter last weekend, coasted right through to a wonderful birthday, and then spiraled down to the day we had to say goodbye to Tiger Lilly.

Tiger Lilly

It was time, but it’s never easy.

I was able to take the day off, and we spent some time with her outside
 Tiger Lilly

and let her enjoy one of her favorite treats.

Tiger Lilly

Anyone who has lost a pet understands the heartache and emptiness. We keep expecting her to greet us, have to keep stopping ourselves from looking for her, and keep remembering that she is gone. She enriched our lives with her sweet, goofy nature and we are grateful for the years she was part of our family.

I’m linking up for the Weekly Wrap Link Up hosted by Holly and Tricia, and I’ve selected some of my favorite stories about Tiger Lilly to link below.

Oh that precious face. I’m so sorry Coco. It is so very sad. We said goodbye to Remy in July. Heartbreaking. Big hugs to you.

  4. I’m so sorry about your loss of Tiger Lily. I went through that with Cleo in January and it was tough. I missed her so much for the longest time. I didn’t even want to think about a new pup. Then when we got Cocoa, I was determined not to let her get in my heart. That lasted about a day.

It’s the hardest thing about pets, but I wouldn’t trade any of them for the world. My dogs have all made my life better. Hugs….

I’ve been watching your adventures with Cocoa – she is such a cute little devil! I’m not sure when we’ll take the plunge again, but with today’s frigid weather I’m thinking spring would be a better idea, although we got TL in January ….

  16. I’m so sorry, Coco. You know I share your pain. Chester has bee on my mind so much recently, he was going downhill so rapidly at this time of year last year.
