I’m going to have fun with today’s Friday Five topic (Fitness Snapshots) and share photos of my five favorite fitness activities. Don’t worry, I promise they aren’t all sweaty selfies! I’d love it if you’d share your favorite on Pinterest!
1.Running. First and foremost, I’m a runner.
This picture captures how thrilled I was to finally run
a good Lawyers Have Heart 10K.
This picture captures the simple pleasure of a post-race beer.
2. Cycling. Cycling with my true love is my second love.
This is one of my favorite cycling pictures,
and not just because I’m at the beach. 🙂
I think this one was taken near the beach too.
3. Spinning. I never would have guessed that I would like spinning
–let alone love it–but I do!
4. Weight Training. I also enjoy my weight training workouts.
It’s hard to take a selfie while you’re working out with weights,
but I have this collage from a hotel gym in New York City.
5. Planks. Maybe planks are not really one of my favorite things to do,
but since I learned that a weak core was the source of my nagging ITB issues,
I try to do several sets of different plank variations at least a few times a week.
As if holding a plank isn’t hard enough,
try doing it while you try to perfect your form and take a picture!
I wish I had noticed that my foot was askew!

You nailed my top favorite workouts, too! I was also surprised by how much I loved spin when I first started going- it has a similar endorphin affect to running, I think!

Ugh. Now my best option seems to be visiting my in-laws or staying home with the dog with my house to myself. :-/

I’m visiting from the Friday Five link up. I did the Lawyers Have Heart 10k this year too 🙂 it was my first race over a 5k distance. I really enjoyed it. I’ve been trying to do more planks to strengthen my core muscles too.
Of course the last one is my favorite. I’m rather impressed that you can plank and get a good pic. Love that it’s on the track.

Form is so important with planking too – I keep trying and adjusting, hopefully I’m getting stronger too!
I have tried to take a selfie when planking and all I get is a shot of my breasts… I haven’t figured out a more flattering angle. LOL
