Shenandoah Farm to Fork Fondo

After participating in the Pennsylvania Dutch Farm to Fork Fondo for the fifth time, we finally signed up for an event closer to home–the Shenandoah Farm To Fork Fondo weekend adventure. It had the friendly participants, gorgeous scenery, and delicious food we’ve come to expect, as well as a touch of Civil War history.

Racy October Runfessions

It’s the last Friday of the month and nearly All Hallows Eve–the perfect time to gather at Marcia’s runfessional and cleanse our souls soles before we head into November—what?! With my first race of 2021 next weekend, I’ve got some racy October runfessions.

Back To Chi-Town

After two years, I finally scored a business trip to Chicago. As usual, it was a short trip (made shorter by a 2.5 hour flight delay), but I squeezed in two runs along the lakefront and a meetup with Erica. #winning

What Went Wrong?

After two pain-free runs Monday and Wednesday, my short run Friday annoyed my Achilles. Not only that, the area above my left knee feels wonky–not when I run, but if I step the wrong way and sometimes going up or down the stairs. Argh!

I’d like to say I canceled my “long” run on Saturday, but I honestly felt great when I started out for a 2 mile out-and-back with Scooby, and let the fall weather lure me into 6 miles. Hopefully I won’t be regretting that by the time this post publishes. Continue reading
