Jump Into July Ultimate Coffee Date

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how much I love my toad planter. It was a Mother’s Day gift decades ago, and I love filling it with flowers that give Mrs. Toad a fancy hairdo.

I’m not a gardener, but I manage to keep Mrs. Frog happy.

If we were having coffee, I would be tempted to show you the amazing views I had from my hotel room in Boston. I reserved the room through a conference website so I was surprised when I got a corner room with panoramic views.

You can see why when my morning meeting was canceled, I didn’t mind the extra time in my room.;-)

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how spoiled we are at my office. The fridge is stocked with various dairy and non-dairy options, and we even have a selection of plain, flavored, and non-dairy coffee creamers—including the plain half-and-half I go for.

On summer Thursdays, we have an ice cream cart at 2:00 pm—which I used to resist until they started offering those Snickers ice cream bars—and a happy hour at 4:00 pm. I’m not sure when we’re supposed to get work done. 😉

Speaking of work, if we were having coffee, I would show you the puzzle I finished this month. I’m not sure which part was harder—the little butterflies or the dark blue.

So many wings!

Aww, I love that planter! Such fancy hair! 😛

I’m jealous of your office! I wish they’d stock ours with snacks for us, hehe.

I think I’d have a world of trouble with the dark blue part on that puzzle!

    • Coco says:

We used to have more free snacks until they set up a self-service convenience store like area with everything from candy bars to chips to refrigerated sandwiches.

  2. OMG that puzzle looks neat, but I can see where all the wings (and all the blues) would be tough! You do have a nice (dare I say, posh? LOL) office set-up! I think your toad planter is adorable 😉

  3. Wendy says:

You are spoiled at work! We have refrigerators that no one bothers to clean out and ewwww….

I also have a toad planter, which I mentioned in my post from which the rabbits ate all the marigolds! Lol

  4. Michelle says:

You definitely have some nice office perks! My office recently added a snack cart – but most of the selections are too sugary.

What a great puzzle! I can only imagine how challenging all of those wings were.

    • Coco says:

We have an abundance of junk food too. I think it’s Tuesday mornings that they put out fresh fruit …. Trying so hard to get us into the office. 😉

  5. The dark blue looks really hard!

Well, since they’ve made it mandatory to be in the office, it’s at least nice to have all those perks. Seriously I don’t know how anyone in an office gets anything done with all the meetings!

  6. That toad planter is pretty cool, I can see why you like it so much!
Sounds like you have a great place to work! Ice cream truck on Thursdays? Can’t beat that! Enjoy the weekend!

  7. Jenny says:

I like the planter! I should have something like that- it would at least motivated me to do SOMETHING with the garden.
Just out of curiosity- how long does it take you to do a puzzle like that? It looks… excruciating.
Your office looks awesome. I guess they need to do something to make it attractive as opposed to working from home!

  8. Catrina says:

Wait – what?! You have a happy hour on Thursdays that starts at 4pm?! Haha, that’s hilarious! Between the ice cream cart and the wine, I’d find it difficult to work too.
But it would definitely get me into the office, at least on Thursdays!

    • Coco says:

They decided to start happy hour early so people can still get home to their kids …. It’s a new day of office culture.

  9. Now that you have all those creamers, will you still go to Starbucks?? LOL That toad planter is so cute. I am not. Having good luck w flowers this summer too hot!

  10. Marcia says:

I love all of your puzzles! When we were in ATL for graduation, my daughter had a puzzle in progress on her table and my FIL and I could not stop! I want to get one of the pics from our African trip made into a puzzle.
    That planter is adorable!

  11. MCM Mama says:

OMG, I remember summers when I used to work in a law firm. They were luring the interns into believing it was fun all year round LOL.

We just got back from Costa Rica and the one thing I struggled with was that they did not use creamer in coffee – I had milk and plant based milk options, but none were “creamy”. It was rough. 😉

  12. Darlene S. Cardillo says:

I’m still at home. At least you have some perks in the office. I would never be able to resist ice cream.

    Love that planter too.

I sometimes get a nice view in NYC. But often it is blocked by taller buildings

  13. Do you still get the daily Starbucks with all of those yummy options?!

That’s an awesome view in Boston!

I have to get back to puzzling!

  14. Renée says:

love the toad planter!! and the views from the Boston hotel, wow! we do have nice stuff at the office, and usually 1 day a week there is a ‘treat to meet’ but I don’t tend to partake… we have a nespresso machine and as much as I’d love to like the coffee I just prefer my starbucks…

    • Coco says:

Oh, I like the “treat to meet” theme.

We have coffee machines and cold brew, but I go downstairs for Starbucks — but you know that! 😉

  15. Jenn says:

I will work anywhere that they give me ice cream. It’s my weakness.

I think I need to get a puzzle!

  16. Haha, that toad planter made me smile and laugh! Love it! Wow, that is an awesome coffee creamer assortment! Wait, happy hour?
