I think my husband wanted to the flowers to match the vase. 😀
I’ve been feeling pretty down about my mothering recently. Partly because I fell into the Facebook comparison trap, partly because my kids really aren’t kids anymore, and partly because I know I am not the most warm, fuzzy, fun Mom. But I spent yesterday morning helping my daughter format her last big college assignment and I’m having brunch with my son today, so I’m feeling very good enough about the Mom that I am.
Speaking of moms, don’t you just love the Vegetabowls I found for my Mom?
The bowls are made by slip-casting on real fruits and vegetables to make plaster molds that reflect the unique shape and textures of individual items. The watermelon bowl is one of the largest, but they also have a cabbage bowl. The smallest ones are based on lemons and limes. The salsa set based on tomato, red onion and white onion would be perfect for an array of dips. I got them at a craft show, but you can order them from their website.

I hope you have a great Mother’s Day!
Happy Mothers’ Day my friend. I’m glad you’re finding the moments to celebrate the two great people you’ve raised – pay no attention to FB (said in my best Wizard of Oz impression – Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, for there is always another story than the one you see in pictures.
Thanks, friend. 😉
Happy Mother’s Day Coco. You are so much more than good enough. Another reason for me not to FB. 😉 Beautiful flowers too! I love hydrangeas.
Oh, thank you! Your kindness means so much.
Happy Mother’s Day! That was the first thing I noticed when you posted a pic of the flowers – it matched the vase!
