You know I love Starbucks, but I’m trying to improve my sleep habits, so do you mind if we go for a walk instead of our usual virtual coffee date?
This girl wants to come too!
I’ve got so much to share with you, but first, look at these gorgeous trees in my neighborhood!
Doesn’t it seem like the big red tree dripped some of its “paint” on the little green tree?
Speaking of fall colors, how are we one week into November already?
Where did this year go?
I’ve been so busy at work this year–how do you keep the balance in your work-life balance? I probably need to delegate more, but I always think that it will be faster and easier if I do it myself. It’s hard to work less in my deadline-driven job, but I probably could work smarter if I were better at fending off interruptions, letting my phone go to voice mail once in a while, and not reading every email as it comes in ….
Speaking of work, I’ve got one more trip to Chicago next week, and then a trip to New York City the Monday before Thanksgiving. Can you believe it? I will have to fight the throngs of holiday travelers for a one-day meeting!
I’m going to make the most of it and meet up with Christine the night before my meeting. Maybe she can teach me some yoga breathing to help me cope with the stress?
Ah, Thanksgiving! I think we are going to grill our turkey on the charcoal grill again. Have you ever tried that? It is so delicious. And, it leaves the oven free for side dishes. Let’s be honest, the best part about Thanksgiving dinner is all the side dishes!
My daughter was going to come home, but now her cat is really sick, so she probably will stay at her apartment to take care of her. I’m not exactly hoping that her cat doesn’t make it that long, but I was looking forward to having my daughter home for the holiday ….
Thanks for taking a walk with me. Next time we can have a real virtual coffee date!
Did November take you by surprise?
Do you have your Thanksgiving plans in place?
Im terrrrified about thanksgiving.
Heading to austin.
fear Ill never return to OAKLAND 🙂
KNOW Ive idealized Austin in my mind–and yet? what I miss (parking lots, less crime. groceries bigger than my thumb) is pretty tangiblereal.
THANK YOU FOR LINKING BACK TO MY COFFEE POST.
Indeed I am shouting 🙂
and indeed it made me smile as I didnt see the link prior to coming to visit.
I hope you can thoroughly enjoy Austin while you are there and maybe miss something about Oakland a little bit?
I can’t believe we are already finished the first week of November!
OMG – November completely caught me by surprise! And I have 3 trips planned this month!! Love the fall colors though, and those tree pics are absolutely gorgeous 🙂
Oh, I hope they are fun trips!
I’m still struggling with the fact that Hanukkah is in 3 weeks. I’ve bought one gift for a kid in my house. And my husbands birthday is next week (although I’ve got that one covered). SLOW down world!!
Hi Tiger Lily! Cassie is jealous of her walk. Cassie would like to walk with me every day as long as possible. Petey thinks the couch is the place.
So is Hanukkah bumping into Thanksgiving this year? LOL on Petey the couch potato. Tiger Lilly loves when it is bedtime, but she’s always up for walk.
what a cool post idea, and your photos are beautiful!
Thanks! I had to leave work early to take a walk while it was still sunny. 😉
I enjoyed the walk since I don’t drink coffee anyway – it was awesome to see the beautiful trees.
I wish your daughter could come home (and have her cat OK!) for Thanksgiving.
So cool that you will get to hook up with Christine.
Yes, I’m excited to see her!
I cannot believe it’s November. It totally took me by surprise. I will be happy to teach you some deep breathing when you are here in NYC 🙂 So excited that I get to see you!
