What I Ate Wednesday: The Anniversary Cake Editition

Yesterday was my 25th wedding anniversary. My Mom is awesome and always remembers our big day, and this time she out-did herself.

She had one of our wedding pictures blown up, and put it in a gorgeous frame.

And she brought cake!

We usually celebrate our anniversary by going out to dinner, but since 25 years seemed to call for something more, we decided to take off from work to spend the whole day together. To make sure we spent the day being together, we went for a long bike ride. And, of course, we went out to dinner.

How do you celebrate your anniversary?

What is your favorite flavor of cake?

  1. Happy Anniversary!! So funny that there are all these anniversaries around the same time. Our 10th is on Friday. Guess early October is a popular time to get married! Our cake had three layers – the only one that I cared about was the carrot cake layer with no nuts and golden raisins…except that I never got to have some on our wedding!

  2. Happy Anniversary! Funny I’ll be celebrating my 21st next Friday 🙂

  3. Happy Anniversary!

Right now, I’m loving carrot cake 🙂

So glad that y’all were able to take a day to spend together to celebrate 25 years!!! I’m not a big cake eater – I do love buttercream frosting, though.

  5. HOW BEAUTIFUL!!! You are such an inspiration to SO MANY couples! 🙂 my sister and her husband celebrated their first anniversary on September 22, I think they’ll make it to 25 years and beyond… And I think it’s because I gave a SUPERB wedding speech the night of their wedding, LMFAO!!! Oh yes, I am the reason they’ll stay together – NOT!

Here is to 50 more years! 🙂
