10 Minute Yoga Routine (Stretches)

I try to do one of the 25 minute yoga routines on my Rodney Yee DVD at least once a week, but sometimes even 25 minutes seems to long. This Sunday I was crunched for time before church, but knew my body could use some yoga. I decided to do my favorite poses while waiting for my coffee to brew and came up with this 10 minute yoga routine that includes some good stretches for runners.

10 Minute Yoga Stretches

Holding each pose for 1 minute (per side, where applicable)
actually takes 12 minutes. 😉

Do you have a go-to workout for days when you are really short on time?

Great workout – I stretch while my coffee brews too. But, mine brews faster than 12 min 🙂

I was just thinking this week that I've been slacking on my stretching… I jump right back into my day when I get in the door. Great post and thank you for the reminder!

great quick yoga routine! it depends where i am in my fitness training if i'm short on time. if i'm not following a plan, then i'll usually just do a quick cardio session. i always feel like i need more time for weights.

  4. I'm the same way – 25 minutes of stretching sometimes seems way too long!!
Does Rodney Yee sometimes creep you out? I have one of his DVDs and watching him Yoga it up in a Speedo is not my favorite!!!
    What is the swan pose?

The swan appears to be the pigeon. I like this link http://www.yinyoga.com/ys2_2.0_asanas_swan.php
