While I start my day with coffee on even the hottest days, I’ve also got lemonade if you’d rather have that while we get together for the Ultimate Coffee Date Link Up. Why I Support The American Heart Association

Next weekend I will be participating in the Lawyers Have Heart 10K. This is my least favorite race as a runner, but I participate year in and year out (even when I broke my foot!) because the cause is so important to me.

If you’ve been around for a while, you know I lost my Dad to sudden heart failure six years ago. Before that happened I ran in the Lawyers Have Heart race to support my law firm’s team, but I ramped up my fundraising efforts after heart disease hit too close to home.

Colfax Denver Urban 10 Miler Race Recap

Last weekend I combined a visit to see my daughter with the Colfax Denver Urban 10 Miler. We arrived Friday and stopped by the expo before we went to my daughter’s place, spent Saturday hiking around Colorado Springs at Garden of the Gods and Seven Falls, and dedicated Sunday to racing, recovering, and heading home. What a weekend!

Running The Central Park Loop

Last week I had a business trip to New York City which I took advantage of to relive the best part of the NYC Half! I stayed at the same hotel, started my days running the Central Park loop, and refueled at the same Starbucks.

Even my legs got in the game with way faster than usual paces for an everyday run. Continue reading
