Leaving Room For God’s Mercy

Tomorrow is September 11, a date that stills makes me stop in my tracks, ~remember~, and grieve for those who lost their lives, their loved ones, and their livelihoods.

Although there is so much about that day I will never forget , I always remember how I happened to buy a new Bible that morning, and how I opened its pages even as I was glued to the news.

Better Biking At Rehoboth Beach

I finally got a few days at the beach last week, and when I say finally I mean it. Somehow we haven’t been to the beach since 2013! The great thing about the beach–and when I say beach I mean Rehoboth Beach–is that while there always are new places to check out, so many of our favorite places are still there.

2017 Reston Metric Century Ride Recap

Well, we did it! We made it through the 68.8 miles and 3400 feet of elevation change of the 2017 Reston Metric Century. We even made better time than I expected. The perfect weather, solid training and smart fueling all came together for a great ride.

I could have done without the bee who made its way into my helmet, but I wasn’t about to let a little sting slow me down when I needed all the momentum I could get to make it up the next hill!  Continue reading
