Joining The Weekly Run Down

I know many of us were wondering what we would do without the Weekly Wrap. Thanks to Deborah and Kim we have a new weekly link up for recapping our workouts and staying accountable and motivated. I know hosting and moderating a link up is a lot of work, and really appreciate their willingness to step up!

My week was all about walking a tightrope between doing as much as a could to preserve my sanity without aggravating my ankle while still letting my ankle heal.

Lion Or Lamb? Hosting The March Ultimate Coffee Date

Around here, March usually earns its reputation for being a wild weather month. It was last March when dangerously high winds blew a sign off a building into the rear windshield of my car. The year before, we had snow days in March. In between, we usually get a few balmy spring fever days. As we gather for the March Ultimate Coffee Date, I hope your March weather is more lamb than lion. We will keep the link up open all weekend, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy our virtual get-together and catch up on what’s going on in each other’s lives.

I’m always afraid of getting on the wrong train.

Please make plans to join the March Ultimate Coffee Date next weekend– Deborah and I will open the (link-up) doors on Friday (March 1), and keep the coffee brewing all weekend.

Injury Plagued February Runfessions

February is a short month, which is my excuse for almost missing out on February Runfessions. Since I do have a few things to atone for, I need this opportunity to get a head start on coming clean for Lent, which begins March 6.

Learning To Stand On My Head

Last week I did something I never thought I’d do. I went to a two hour beginner yoga workshop focusing on crow, handstand and headstand. Like most “101” courses, it made me realize how much more I have to learn, but it also showed me how fun learning to stand on my head can be.

The workshop was offered at studio I’ve never been to–YogaWorks, which appears to be a national chain. I found out about it through the same friend who got me to try SplashCycle. It’s great to have friends game to try new things.
