Trying New Recipes At The February Ultimate Coffee Date

Deborah and I are so happy to see you at the February Ultimate Coffee Date! I’ve been trying new recipes I want to tell you about, and have other big news I finally can share. Please make sure you comment on other coffee date posts. It’s your participation that makes it enjoyable and worthwhile. We will keep the link up open all weekend, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy our virtual get-together and catch up on what’s going on in each other’s lives.

Facebook recently reminded me of the fantastic business trip I took to Switzerland five years ago. When I wasn’t meeting with clients, I was visiting fine chocolatiers. I need to make that happen again.

Riding The Winter Weather Roller Coaster

Talking about the weather won’t make you the life of the party, unless you’re at a party with other runners. We’re always ready to commiserate over how hot, humid, cold, windy, or stormy the weather has been. January Runfessions

It’s the last Friday of the first month of the year, which means it’s time for January Runfessions. Just bare your soles at the Runfessions link up hosted at Marcia’s Healthy Slice and get back on track.

Missing Out On Our Snow Day

Not surprisingly, last weekend’s snow led to closures on Monday. The local federal government was closed, so our office was closed, but I still had to go to Delaware for a hearing. Even though the storm moved on to the northeast, they didn’t get as much snow there. So, I missed out on our first snow day of 2019 and am hoping for another one when I can stay home and enjoy it.

Weekly Wrap

Aside from that, my week was pretty uneventful, so I’m going to jump right into my weekly wrap and linking up with Wendy and Holly.

Looking At The Bright Side

I’ve always been a glass-half-full kind of person. I have a way of looking at the bright side, even if the only bright spot I can find is dark humor at the ridiculousness of the situation–like when a fierce wind wrenched a sign off a building that then flew into my car’s rear window.

Looking At The Bright SideI laughed even more when a few days later the side-view mirror fell off the car I was driving until my car got fixed. Why was car glass conspiring against me?
