Summer Slump Runfessions

How can it be the last Friday of June already? Looking at the calendar makes it feel like summer is 1/3 over, but really it just started last week on June 21. No matter how quickly the months go by, I’ve always got plenty of runfessions. It always feels good to bare my soul soles and come clean at the runfessional over at Marcia’s Healthy Slice.

Thanks to Lacey and Miranda for the Fairytales and Fitness Friday Five link up.

Make plans to join the July Ultimate Coffee Date next weekend — Deborah and I will open the (link-up) doors on Friday, and keep the coffee brewing through Sunday.

Lawyers Have Heart Race Photos Redux

It’s been three weeks since I ran the Lawyers Have Heart 5K (you can read my recap here), but I just received my race photos. Since I didn’t take many pictures myself, and these are pretty good, I thought they’d be worth sharing.

Enthralling Podcasts For Your Summer Road Trips

I was late to the party listening to Serial, but now I am hooked on story-type podcasts. Happy Father’s Day! While I will be missing my Dad, I will enjoy spending time with the wonderful father in my life–my husband! It’s an extra-special Father’s Day around here because my daughter is visiting from Colorado.

Father's Day

I love you and miss you, Dad!

If we mere mortals can play different roles for different people, why is it hard to understand that God can be three-in-one?

2019 Lawyers Have Heart 5K Race Recap

I’ve come to refer to Lawyers Have Heart as the race I love to hate. Basically, I love the cause but hate the course. Since I decided to do the 5K instead of the 10K, I’ve discovered there’s less to hate, and I may even grow to love it–although the humidity this time of year is always a challenge.

I first switched to the 5k last year (you can read why here), and I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to the 10K distance!
