Birthday Celebration Coffee Date
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I actually don’t have any birthday celebration plans yet. My birthday falls on a Thursday this year, so we’ll probably push my birthday celebration dinner to the weekend. As it turns out, the Cherry Blossom race is having a kick-off party that night, but I don’t see myself slogging across the city to attend.
If we were having coffee, I would show you the Halloween puzzle I finished in November before I crumble it up and put it away.
Isn’t it so cute!
If we were having coffee, I would share my latest hotel room view, from my quick trip to Chicago. When I checked in, the receptionist warned me repeatedly that I was getting a “traditional” room and gave me the option of waiting for a more deluxe room, but since I wasn’t going to be at a firm event until 10 pm and checking out by 8 am, my priority was being able to drop off my suitcase and freshen up before heading to our Chicago office. When I got to my room, I was pleasantly surprised by this view.
I just love this crazy parking garage—
and I even had a view of (a sliver of) the river.
If we were having coffee, I would show you this great photo I took from the plane returning to D.C. from Chicago. I usually pick an aisle seat for extra elbow room and easy access to the bathroom, but this view was worth being boxed in for the 90 min flight.
Do you prefer a window or aisle seat?
Happy birthday month! That puzzle is adorable. :]
I typically fall asleep through the entire plane ride so I prefer the window seat. :D..
That’s how my daughter feels!
You definitely scored a room with a view! I’m so tall, I usually prefer an aisle seat, though I get annoyed by all the aisle traffic, LOL. First world probs, right?
Aisle traffic is real — especially if the crew are on a mission with that cart!
Another November birthday. Hope it’s a good one.
I always pick an aisle seat for leg room. Great view.
I’m nyc my room view is usually another tall building
That’s hard to avoid in NYC.
Have a great weekend and a great marathon!
I love that puzzle! I may have to get one for my FIL, who is a huge New Yorker fan. Love that “traditional” view as well. Marina Towers are always so fun.
They have some really cute puzzles!
Happy Birthday Month 🙂
That’s a great puzzle!
I usually try to tuck into the window seats to avoid being bumped by aisle traffic, but it also depends on how long the flight is.
My husband prefers the window too, but since I prefer the aisle he often gets stuck in the middle. 😉
Ooh, Happy Birthday month! I’m glad no gifts are required because I haven’t gotten yours yet (although a 5000 piece puzzle is in the mail…) In all seriousness, I love that puzzle. It would be hard for me to crumble it all up!
You did have some nice views this month (from planes and hotel rooms.)
Hope your birthday celebration is fun!
Hah! I 5000 piece puzzle might take me a while ….
Looking forward to our birthday lunch next week! I am excited to have my kids all home to celebrate mine and my husband’s birthday. November is always so busy and this year is especially chaotic
That will be nice. I know I wont be seeing my daughter and I’m not sure about my son yet — it’s so hard to share them with other families.
That is a great photo of DC from the plane!
When there are 3 seats on the longhaul flights, we usually take aisle (Kai) and middle seat (me) with a stranger sitting at the window seat. On our last two flights, the person at the window asked for Kai’s aisle seat so they would not disturb us…. we politely declined both times. I’d rather get up for another person than be squashed in a corner! 😉
I didn’t even know that pond existed until I saw from a plane a few years ago—it’s part of Constitution Gardens and I just never walked that way.
Happy Birthday, Coco! I hope you have fun!
Love the puzzle – we need to get back to puzzling this winter!
