A Week Of Peloton Milestones

I don’t have anything epic to tell you about this week, but in the spirit of remembering that consistency is key and the little things you do every day add up, I am celebrating a week of Peloton milestones.

A Week of Peloton Milestones

After hitting my 400th Peloton ride on Sunday, I hit three more Peloton milestones this week— my 100th yoga class, 800th running class, and 2100th strength class. I was surprised by the yoga milestone, but after that popped up on Monday I saw I was approaching the other milestones. I debated taking live run and strength classes in the hopes of milestone shoutouts, but decided I didn’t need that recognition. As Jess Sims says (possibly inspired by Lizzo), celebrate your own damn self and get back to work. 🙂

It was the yoga square on my BreakthroughCrew bingo card that led me to take that class. It also got me to take a meditation class—which I did on my mat waiting for my Corepower yoga class to start.

I’m also still participating the Runchathunt scavenger hunt—Scooby helped me find a “13” which is an entry to celebrate 13 years of Runchat. I remember back in the day when I used two twitter apps to keep up with the fast-paced live chats on Sunday evenings …..

I hope my neighbors were still asleep when I took this photograph of their car!

Weekly Wrap

In other workout news, I finished week 4 of the Peloton Pump Up The Volume 1 strength program. I’m going to move on to Volume 2, but will be replacing the “Day 2” classes that are more cardio-focused with dumbbell thrusters, burpees, and mountain climbers. My legs need more gentle strength days!

Sunday: 20 min FB Strength + 3.25 Tread Miles
I paired a FB strength class with a core-focused tread bootcamp to get a well-rounded workout. I like taking a 10 min tread warm-up before the bootcamp classes because they often start out fast and furious.

Monday: 10 min Core + 3.75 Scooby Miles + 20 min LB Strength + 15 min Yoga
We had Monday off for Juneteenth, and I started the day with Marcel’s Juneteenth run. I thought the playlist would have been better for a walk, but it was a good class. Afterwards I tried a 15 min “focus flow” yoga class focused on hamstrings because my hammies continue to be so tight.

Another RunChatHunt entry—flowers.

Tuesday: Core Power Yoga
I managed to hold crow for a split second doing the transition from tripod headstand to crow. (I have good strength holding crow on its own). Maybe next week I’ll get all the one to one-mississsippi. 😉

Wednesday: 3.5 Scooby Miles + 10 min Core + 20 min UB Strength
I swapped the order of my planned workout and took Scooby out first in an attempt to beat the rain. We didn’t quite win, but the rain remained pretty light.

Thursday: 10 min Core + 10 min LB Strength + 40 min Peloton Ride
Office gym day, starting with a short strength stack before getting on the Peloton bike.

The walk was at home with Scooby.

Friday: 10 min Core + 20 min FB + 3.3 Tread miles
It was milestone Friday! I chose an old Jess Sims tread class for my 800th run. I love the playlist and since it’s from 2019 it might be purged soon.

Saturday: 10 min core + 10 min SFR + 6.0 Scooby Miles
It was so humid after all the rain we got on Friday. Scooby was pretty pooped at 4.75 miles, so I gave him more walk breaks and took it easy the rest of the way home.

Feeling like a drowned rat after this run! 💦

A huge thank you to Deborah and Kim for hosting the Weekly Run Down link up.

Did you participate in the #runchat twitter chats?

Congrats on all of your Peloton milestones. It is fun to see them pop up. All the run this week was challenging for sure. Today it sure feels like summer

  2. Darlene S. Cardillo says:

Wow. So impressed by your milestones.

I didn’t know about the run chat.

I know the drown rat feeling. Yesterday.

  3. I used to follow (and participate) in the RunChats, but somehow have gotten away from them. Then again, I don’t do much on Twitter anyways. Congrats on the milestones!

  4. I’ve really never been into Twitter, so no, no runchat scavenger hunts. You’re doing a great job with yours!

Totally agree that you can celebrate your milestones on your own, although I imagine it’s fun to have a shoutout! Since I never take a live class it’s always kind of weird to hear them after the fact.

  5. Wendy says:

Congrats on your milestones! You are for sure consistent and that is so impressive! I’m no longer on Twitter after my account was hit with bots. it was like Wackamole trying to stop them and I just shut the thing down. Especially with Elon Musk being in charge.

  6. Michelle says:

Congrats on the milestones! I haven’t checked out the Pump Up the Volume series – do you like the mix of classes?

I used to faithfully participate in those RunChat Twitter chats – I don’t think I realized that they were still going strong on Instagram. Love the Scooby pics 🙂

  7. Catrina says:

I had to smile about you taking that photo of your neighbour’s car with Scooby. Imagine them seeing you, haha! The things we do as runners!!

  8. Jenn says:

Consistency IS key! You have a lot of milestones achieved and that’s awesome!

  9. Kim G says:

Congrats on all of the milestones! I love when Jess says “celebrate your own damn self and get back to work” – such a great motto to live by!

Also I am loving all the photos of Scooby this week – he’s so photogenic!

  10. Debbie says:

Congrats on all of those Peloton milestones!

  11. Jenny says:

Sounds like you had a great week- congrats on those milestones! Yes, consistency is key. I like the quote from Jess : )

  12. Renée says:

whooo hoooo on the milestones!!! way to go! and a good week for you and Scooby 🙂

I did used to participate in the runchat chats on twitter, but it was really tough to do so! never really got the hang of it and missed a lot because of time zones!

  13. Jessie says:

Crow isn’t too bad, but transitioning to it from handstand- wowsa! You are strong!
