If we were having coffee, I would have to tell you how much fun I had a Fitbloggin’! My favorite workout was with Cathe Friedrich, but yoga on the roof came in a close second. All the food was good, but the off-site lunch at Euclid Hall sponsored by the California Avocado Commission was amazing! They haven’t announced the details for next year, but I’m already looking forward to going again.

If we were having coffee, I would ask if you use Snap Chat or Periscope? Those are the two “new” social media channels we were talking about at Fitbloggin’. We decided that Snap Chat was for “kids” even if brands are trying to break into it, but Periscope may be the next hot thing. If we were having coffee, I would tell you that downtown Denver is my kind of town–there really was a Starbucks on every corner, including one that opened at 5:00 am on the weekend.

The one yr I lived in MD I went to the mall to see the fireworks. Now we have dogs so we’re always hanging at home.

I wrote my declaration of independence this time last year and it is one of my favorite posts to re-read when I lose sight of how far I’ve come. 🙂 I assumed Periscope must have been talked about Fitbloggin’ because I’ve seen a lot more people mention it over the last week. It sounds like I may need to put Fitbloggin’ on my list somehow! Happy Independence Day!
Maybe we should do a declaration of independence link up next year!
We’re having my daughter’s birthday bbq today so instead of driving to watch fireworks we’re staying home and having our own little display.

I had an aunt who worked in DC when I was young. So we visited a couple of times on July 4th and I have seen the DC fireworks. Amazing. A Starbucks on every corner is my kind of town!
So glad you had a blast in Denver. My advice for coming into DC is to pick a location that is not that the mall – but I’m sure you know that! Have fun!

I worked in downtown Denver in the mid-eighties, but since I don’t like coffee I couldn’t tell you if there were any Starbucks around. Was the first Starbucks even open yet back then?

Happy 4th of July! Glad to hear that Snap Chat doesn’t seem to be trending as an outlet for businesses. I have a hard enough time keeping up with all the platforms that have been around for a while, not sure how many more I can add 🙂
Yeah, I asked my son if he could see brands using Snap Chat for marketing and he was not impressed! I could see it done subtlety–like sports brands showing clips of athletes.
Ah, I wish I could have been able to go to Fitbloggin! I did see the photo of yoga on the roof – looked so fun! I keep hearing about Periscope…seems to be the next big thing. I’ll have to see if it’s something I’m not too scared/overwhelmed to jump into…I hate myself on video, lol!
