DC Dosa Restaurant Review

Last week I had an 11 am doctor’s appointment that took much less time than I expected. (How often does that happen?!). Since it was a nice day and I had cleared my work calendar, I decided to get lunch on my way back to the office. I was close to Foggy Bottom, and remembered hearing good things about DC Dosa in the Whole Foods.

DC Dosa

As described on the DC Dosa website, “a dosa is a lentil and rice crepe/pancake, typically with a vegetable filling and an accompaniment of chutney.” I chose the “Four Lentil Dosa” for my pancake, the cauliflower and pea filling, and the cilantro sesame chutney, then I watched them prepare my dosa. It was delicious, and so filling I saved some for breakfast the next day.

I’ve never heard of a dosa – do they have different filling options (like meat)?

  8. Lots of the Greek places around here have Dosa’s so I have tried them before. Love that they are gluten free.
