Today I will be celebrating Father’s Day by letting my husband watch our son’s lacrosse game while I get a massage. There’s nothing wrong with that, is there?
Of course, that will be after I bake Trader Joe’s chocolate croissants for breakfast.
And before I pick up his Roy Roger’s roast beef sandwich for dinner
(seriously, I couldn’t make that up!).
Of course, I’ll be thinking of my Dad.
On Friday when I read this article in the Washington Post about Father’s Day cards, I wondered if the author had read my post about Father’s Day cards last year.
Did you find a good Father’s Day card?
Do you have any traditions for celebrating Father’s Day?
Haha, that’s awesome…that sounds like my kind of Father’s day 🙂
I had an ok time finding cards for my kids to give to their dad but I didn’t love the cards around for my dad. They were way too mushy for me. Enjoy your massage you deserve it!
It’s hard for me to find a card to send my dad. He wasn’t around a large chunk of my life and while we are friends now, the mushy cards don’t really work. I usually just go with a funny card and then call him at some point during the day.
Most of the cards were way too mushy, or too trying to be funny but awkward or dirty. Luckily I found one to The Grill Master and that is my dad to a tee, he even grilled his own Fathers’s Day lunch so it worked out.
