Cori posted a great “Would You Rather …” running survey on her blog, and it has been making the rounds around the internet ever since. After reading Angela‘s and Debbie’s answers, I decided to take the survey myself.
Would You Rather?
#1. Would you rather run in a thunderstorm or a snowstorm?
I’m afraid of getting struck by lightning, so I would definitely rather run in a snowstorm. Plus, we don’t get that much snow where I live, so whenever we do I always want to go out and play!
#2. Would you rather breathe through your nose or breathe through your mouth?
All breathing is good! I definitely breathe through my mouth when I run. Otherwise, I usually breathe through my nose.
#3. Would you rather do 100 squats or 100 crunches? [Now take a break and go do them. ;)]
I like doing squats better than crunches, so I will pick squats, but I’m sure 100 will burn! (But hard is where it happens, right?)
#4. Would you rather have a baked good for dessert or an extra serving of your favorite entree?
I’ll take a Starbucks double chocolate brownie, please.
#5. Would you rather run on a treadmill for an hour or run around the same street block for an hour?
I don’t mind the treadmill that much, especially if I can watch t.v. while I plod along.
#6. Would you rather have a headache during a run or a side stitch?
As long as it’s not a migraine, I think I’d rather have a headache, because I probably could run through it and then take a nap to get rid of it.
#7. Would you rather have a rest day on a work day or a day off?
I usually take Sunday as my rest day, so I guess that’s my answer (day off). I need the endorphins to get through a day of work, and I need the exercise to balance all the desk-sitting I do at the office.
#8. Would you rather be a race director or a race volunteer?
A volunteer. Being a race director would be so stressful!
#9. Would you rather spend your money on running gadgets [HRM, GPS watch, Headphones] or running shoes?
Um, I need both! I don’t need the latest gadgets though, as long as I can track my pace and distance and listen to some music, I’m set. On the other hand, I do need new running shoes every few months.
#10. Would you rather run in a relay or do the run portion of a distance triathlon?
I think it would be fun to be part of a relay team.
Have you taken this survey? (If so, leave a link to your post in the comments and link-up on Cori’s blog!)
Squats or crunches?
squats, baby! 🙂
Most definitely squats!
Yes, yes, yes to squats.
I’ve never had a baked good from starbucks… I’m usually in and out for tea or coffee.
Thanks for joining in!
So fun to see these all over. I’m sure this surprises no one but I picked treadmill, too!!
Oooh those are fun questions. i might have to copy this one for myself! I don’t think I could run with a headache!
I am the opposite, no treadmill for me.
I love Cori’s surveys. I would much rather run in a snowstorm (I’m afraid of getting struck by lightening too!) and run through a headache. The week before last I had the worst side stitch and I never ever want to experience that again!
I’d have to say crunches. When you’ve done too many crunches you can just splay out on the floor. When you fall over from doing squats you can injure yourself LOL
LOL, excellent point!
I’d get dizzy doing the same circles over and over. I’d pick a treadmill and a tv any day.
Baked goods for me, too.
Oooh, fun! 🙂 Hi from SITS – I love this and need to do it on my blog too! I’ve started watching Netflix on the treadmill at the gym – makes the time and the miles fly by like crazy.
I think Cori’s link up is open all month, so go for it!
That brownie…! I’m a gadget geek too but def prefer spending good money on running shoes. Going to do this survey too!
