I can’t remember which Peloton instructor said it–Tunde? Alex?–but the notion that you have to endure to adapt really struck me, and has stuck with me.
It applies to enduring tough workout intervals to adapt and get stronger, and to enduring tough life situations to adapt and realize how strong you are.
It’s easy to write a Valentine to running, but treadmill running? What is there to love about a piece of workout equipment many refer to as a dreamill?
It may be hard to believe, but after four weeks of running in my basement gym, I’ve come to realize there are reasons to love treadmill running.
How does the saying go? A goal without a plan is just a wish? That’s what I came face to face with when I realized I didn’t have a plan to support my goal of running 85 miles/month.
Even worse, I realized my recent schedule alternating treadmill days with bike days was going to leave me far short of reaching my goal.
