Hiking Mount Sanitas And Horsetooth Rock In Colorado

When we made plans to visit my daughter in Colorado, we also made plans to do some hiking while we were there. That means we packed our hiking shoes and layers in case we could figure out some 1/2 day hikes to pass the time while our daughter was working.

For our first hike, we climbed up Mount Sanitas in Boulder. The trailhead is practically nestled in a neighborhood, but there is a small parking lot and limited on-street parking nearby.  Continue reading

2015 Army Ten Miler Recap

Training For The 2015 Army Ten Miler?

When I started this blog five years ago (!) my very first post was about training for the 2010 Army Ten Miler. The next year, I did a whole series of “training log” posts, chronicling six weeks of training. Now, here I am a few days away from my eighth Army Ten Miler and I’ve barely written about it–or thought about it!

Miles Change You — Mizuno Wave Inspire 12

I’ve been a Mizuno girl for ages now. Every once in a while I try a different brand of running shoe, but Mizunos are always my go-to shoes for every day training.
