March Madness Ultimate Coffee Date Link Up

Welcome to the March Madness edition of the Ultimate Coffee Date Link Up!
No, you don’t have to talk about basketball, but please do share what’s going on in your life, as if we were getting together for coffee (or tea, or your favorite relaxing beverage). Deborah and I host this monthly event so we can get to know each other better and support each other in all our endeavors. Since it’s no fun to have coffee alone, make sure you leave comments on other blogs in the link up, and stop by Deborah’s before you head out.

Wrapping Up A Week With No Running

When I mapped out my training plan for the NYC Half Marathon, I knew I wouldn’t be doing any long runs this week, but I didn’t realize it would be a week with no running. Since my reason for not running is all good, I’m not stressing.

February Runfessions

Make sure you check out the other runfessions at the link up Marcia hosts, and since it’s Friday you can see what’s going on at the Friday Five 2.0 link up hosted at Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness.

Wrapping Up My NYC Half Long Runs

A month from now I will be running (or will just have run!) my first half marathon in five years. In fact, it will have been almost exactly five years to the day since I ran the 2012 RNR USA Half Marathon. It seems too early to have completed all of my long training runs, but that’s what the NYC Half Training Plan I put together tells me.

NYC Half Training Plan

As you can see, I’ve stayed pretty true to my plan. Even the adjustments I made were sort of planned for, since when I made the plan I knew I might alter the long runs scheduled around my business trip. Continue reading

Five Frustrating ThingsLuckily for me (see, I really am an optimist!) the theme for today’s Friday Five 2.0 link up hosted at Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness is fitness rants. So, here are five frustrating things that had me pulling my hair out last week. Continue reading
