Slogging Through Summer

I’m was slammed at work this week trying to get ^everything^ done before my European clients take off for their summer holidays. Hopefully I’ll be able to catch my breath this week and get through all the emails I flagged to deal with later.

A pretty accurate depictions of my desk. 😝

Slogging Through Summer

The weather was a real slog this week too. The humidity was oppressive every day and we had several evenings of severe storms. The bright spot of the week was Scooby getting his stitches out. They wanted him to wear a t-shirt for one more day, so my husband found an old Tour De France t-shirt for him to wear home from the vet.

He’s such a goofball

Scooby is glad to have full run of the house again, but I’m going to hold off on running with him until the stifling weather breaks.

Weekly Wrap

I won’t say my Peloton workouts were a slog, but there were no big highlights. I just discovered this daily snapshot that shows all the classes and badges earned that day.

CVV’s class was a slow burn with long moderate intervals.

Scooby and I just walked during RK’s walk + run class

Ooh 15K minutes!

Adrian’s didn’t say the interval format until you were in it—
I prefer to plan ahead!

Adrian’s strength class was fast-paced with minimal breaks
—definitely more conditioning than hypertrophy

I’m really enjoying Joslyn’s strength classes—
her coaching is straight-forward but not easy.

I’m glad I earned so many badges because
oppressive humidity made this run tough!

Now I realize the Peloton daily snapshots don’t show which class I took, so it’s not as helpful. 🧐 If anyone care about a specific class, I can answer you in the comments.

A huge thank you to Deborah and Kim for hosting the Weekly Run Down link up.

I love that Scooby got to sport a Tour de France t-shirt – true champion energy right there. 😄
Congrats on hitting 15K minutes! Your consistency is impressive (especially in swampy conditions).
Hope this week gives you a break on both the work and weather fronts!

It’s been a hot, humid summer for sure. Scooby is so handsome in his tee! Haha! Glad he is healing up well.

Hee hee- I like the photo of Scooby in his t shirt! Glad he’s doing well, and I hope you get some decent weather so he can run with you soon.
I like this daily snapshot format! Since I don’t have Peloton anymore I don’t care about seeing the specific class (but I can see how someone else might). Nice job keeping up a consistent schedule when work is so crazy.

  4. You have some nice stacks this week! So fun to see you and catch up for real

Scooby is really stylin’ in his t-shirt! Glad he’s healing well.

We’ve had a lot of humidity this summer too-but I figure, it’s making me a stronger runner. RIGHT?! lol

  6. Yuck on the oppressive humidity! Scooby looks so cute with that Tour de France shirt. Glad to hear he’s recovered now and can get back at it!

  7. The humidity really came on strong this week! As much as I like the heat, the humidity really is not so desirable, LOL. I hope Scooby continues to feel great!

  8. Debbie says:

That’s great that Scooby got his stitches out and has free reign of the house again. I’m sure he’s much happier. He looks so cute in his t-shirt. 🙂

Hope you can get caught up on work while the Europeans are on holiday.

  9. Jenn says:

Yay for Scooby! He looks so happy and I’m sure he’s ready to get back to his normal routine, running with you!

Hope you are able to get everything done! Some weeks just feel incredibly overwhelming and it’s hard to see clear.
