Jabbering At The January 2025 Coffee Date

If we were having coffee, I would ask how your holiday was and if you received any special presents. We purposely didn’t have many presents under our tree, but my husband lived up to his excellent gift-giving reputation with this puzzle.

Will it be as hard as it looks?

If we were having coffee, I would ask if you particularly enjoyed any year-end wrap ups from your favorite apps/companies.

The one from Starbucks was pretty cute,
but I wish it showed a list of the 21 stores I visited.

I think this is the first time I saw one from United.

The one from Peloton was really lame—the statistics are boring compared to how much data they have, the graphics are basic and not on-brand—it couldn’t be less inspiring if it tried, which it obviously didn’t  🤣

It doesn’t even distinguish running vs. cycling miles.

If we were having coffee, I would ask if you have made any New Year’s resolutions, chosen a “word” for 2025, or set any big goals. I haven’t made a resolution for ages, but with my husband’s retirement I am feeling more reflective than usual and want to be more intentional about how I spend my time.

Haha, you are right, Peloton could have done a better job!
So exciting about your husband’s retirement! What month will he be retiring?
How long will it be until you can join him?

  2. Farrah says:

Aww, that’s a super cute puzzle! :] Hope it isn’t exceedingly challenging!

I like that so many companies did those year-end wraps for 2024! I liked the one my Finch app (self care/to-do list app) came up with!

I didn’t make any resolutions exactly, but I have my ever-growing list of goals that I want to accomplish! :]

  3. Debbie says:

That Scooby puzzle is amazing – what a great idea from your husband! It looks daunting, but I have faith that you’ll have it together in no time. Does your husband help you or is it something you do on your own?

The Strava year-end wrap up was pretty impressive. I think it had about 12 different pages, even including your biggest fan, the person you worked out with most, etc.

  4. Marcia says:

What an adorable and thoughtful gift! Too cute!
I agree that Peloton’s wrap up was lame. Why did I not see a Starbucks one?? My word of the year is SPACE. I’m making some for what matters. Happy New Year!

  5. Jenny says:

Is that puzzle from an actual photo of Scooby? It’s amazing! You have to keep it and frame it when you’re done.
So your husband retired!!!! That’s big.
I do have a word for 2025… revealed in my coffee date blog post today!

  6. I miss the Peloton video recaps they used to give us. Alas, I did beat my times from last year so all good. That Scooby puzzle looks great-have fun with it! I guess I need to pick a word of the year

  7. Michelle says:

That puzzle is the best! What a sweet gift!

Congrats to your husband on his retirement! Has he made any plans yet for how he’ll spend his time?

I selected my word and plan to share it on Jenn and Zenaida’s Tuesday link up.

  8. Jenn says:

That puzzle is AMAZING! How thoughtful!

I am announcing my word of the year on Tuesday!

I only really got two end of year wraps – Yelp and Good Reads… I don’t use Starbucks too much so I didn’t think to look at that one. I think my most popular drink would be the chocolate cream cold brew and the bacon gruyere egg bites.

  9. Awhhh, the Scooby puzzle! That’s very thoughtful 😉 Huh, I’m not even sure I received a Peloton end-of year summary (?). I’ll have to do some searching, LOL. Agreed, it is pretty minimal and not very flashy. I hope your 2025 is off to a great start!

  10. Darlene Cardillo says:

Great word. Congrats to your hubby. Mine retired and then got a part time job.

That is a great gift. Kudos to him.

And I thought I redeemed a lot of stars. lol.

  11. No gifts here either but that puzzle is a winner!

Look forward to seeing you in 2025!
