Dashing To The December Coffee Date
If we were having coffee, I probably would be out of breath from all the dashing around I need to do to wrap up year-end work projects and get ready for Christmas. I’ve barely done any shopping and didn’t manage to get our tree up last weekend, and I’m in Chicago for work this weekend, so I’ll be doing even more dashing next weekend. 🧑🎄
I also have my bake-a-thon next weekend!
Speaking of things to get done by Christmas, if we were having coffee, I would tell you I finally finished that @#$*% puzzle. I had to get it done or give up, because my puzzle table is where I want to put our Christmas tree.
Who wants to try next?
Speaking of Chicago, if we were having coffee, I would tell you I am hoping to finally meet Wendy in person this weekend, but I’m not so excited about the weather forecast.
It’s the lows that are relevant for my early morning runs!
Good thing my hotel has a nice gym. I wonder if I’ll have it to myself tomorrow morning?
If we were having coffee, I would want to show you the amazing birthday card my daughter painted for me. She had asked for pictures of Scooby, so I thought she might be making a photo gift, but I was blown away when I saw this:
His ears are perfect and she even got the texture of his nose just right!
I haven’t seen her since our summer vacation, so I’m really looking forward to seeing her at Christmas!
Do you prefer egg nog, hot cocoa, or hot cider?
At least there’s a bright side to spending a weekend in a hotel in Chicago – meeting Wendy!!
Enjoy your bake-a-thon when you get back. Don’t forget to show us the results!
Oh I love that card!!! She made Scooby look like his handsome self.
Stay away from me with that puzzle! It looks like an anxiety attack waiting to happen. I’m glad you got it done though, so you can put up the Christmas tree (if you can find the time!)
Have fun in the Windy City (brr…) I hope you and Wendy can meet up!
I’ll find the time somewhere. I really do like having it up.
Yay for seeing your daughter during the Christmas holidays! Will your son and daughter-in-law be joining you as well (can’t remember if they live locally or not). That drawing of Scooby is great!
I do like egg nog, but prefer hot chocolate.
Yes, they will be at our house too! <3
What a wonderful card!!
Good job getting that puzzle done – I bet it was a dozey!
So fun to be meeting up with Wendy! Bundle up 🙂
That will be great to have everyone together for Christmas this year. I always treasure the time together now that everyone is grown up. Hope you have the chance to meet Wendy!
Oh, that Scooby painting is precious! Are you going to display it somewhere, in a frame? That puzzle does look like a doozy! I bet it felt like a huge conquest putting the final piece in place 😉
Love the scooby painting. Good news about seeing your daughter soon.
And meeting up with Wendy. Maybe I’ll get to meet you in March.
I do live eggnog. But also hot cocoa. Not fussy.
What a fun birthday card! So cute. Congrats on finishing that puzzle. It is so gorgeous. We are in WI this weekend for a family birthday celebration. I’m bummed to miss seeing you!
Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow morning! And the weather forecast has certainly improved!
Wendy! That’s so fun! I am so happy for you!
And that photo of Scooby is perfection. His ears are just right! I love that!
Those cookies look great. I am making a frosting board this year, so I’m trying to figure out the best cookies to go with it.
I think I’m a hot cocoa girl.
Aww, the birthday card is adorable! I’m glad you were able to finish your puzzle too, hehe.
Hot cider is my favorite winter-y drink, but I rarely say no to hot chocolate. :]!
