New to link ups? This post has my top tips for making them work for you.
If we were having coffee, I would confess that as much as I stand by my resolve to #RespectTheBird and put off all things Christmas until after Thanksgiving, I can’t believe tomorrow is already the second week of Advent. I haven’t even made a list, let alone started checking it twice!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that tomorrow is my annual Christmas Cookie Bake-A-Thon. I missed it last year because my work travel schedule was too crazy, so I’m really looking forward to spending the day baking cookies with my friends.
Here are some pictures from the last year I participated.
If we were having coffee, I would ask about your favorite holiday traditions. Do you attend a carol service? watch It’s A Wonderful Life? make a gingerbread house? Now that my kids are barely home for Christmas, I find it hard to keep up holiday traditions, but I think we’ll put up our tree next weekend.
If we were having coffee, I would ask if you’ve registered for the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler lottery. (It’s open through Friday, December 11.) I’m helping with their social media again, and would love to see you in April. 😉
Oh–before you go, make sure you enter the Holiday Giveaway Blog Hop so you don’t miss out on your chance to win great gifts.

Tomorrow we’ll light the menorah & I’ll fry up the latkes I bought at Whole Foods.
I would let you come and bake for me 🙂 I am going to make up some “desert” like things today and put in the freezer for later!
Happy Coffee Date! Tomorrow night starts Hanuakkah and I am so excited… well more for my kids 🙂 It’s the little guys first Hanukkah and my 6 year olds favorite time of year!
The tree is up and some of my purchases are coming in the mail! I am getting in the holiday spirit! The cookie baking sounds wonderful! I love holiday cookies and admire people that spend the day baking all the different varieties 🙂 I may try my hand at something other than a slice and bake but I have not decided yet. Have a great weekend and thanks for coffee!
I think we are one of the last houses in our neighborhood to put our lights up. Last weekend it seemed early, but yesterday tons of neighbors were out decorating.
Right there with you…I haven’t done much of anything for Christmas yet…
I want to make cookies! I love those PB kisses. So easy too. I’ve just started the Amazon Priming. My computer is barely warm. It is different when the kids get older. Less hoopla? I’ve had to adjust my expectations.
We aren’t doing much decorating or baking. With my boys gone and us traveling over the holidays it doesn’t seem worth the effort. We will be going to several holiday parties, though. I’ve always wanted to do Cherry Blossom, although the timing of it is tough with that being my ramp up for early season triathlons. And I don’t live really close anymore. The Broad Street 10 miler in Philly is another similar race I’d like to try sometime.
I’ve heard great things about Broad Street!
The cookie baking sounds like fun! I’m right there with on feeling a little behind already with all things Christmas – hope to make a dent this weekend. I did register for the Cherry Blossom lottery – maybe we’ll get to meet this year 🙂
ooh a cookie a thon sounds awesome and yummy and dangerous! I did enter the lottery for CB. I was injured the last 2 years and couldn’t do it so I hope I get in. Fun catching up over coffee as usual!
I love Christmas cookies! It’s one of my favorite things about the holidays. I do enjoy It’s a Wonderful Life, Home Alone, and The Santa Clause. So looking forward to working with you for Cherry Blossom! 🙂
My favorite holiday tradition ? We always get together the 24th and 25th with family and each day we have a specific meal. And it is the same every.single.year.
We have our cookie exchange today, too! I made fudge and no bakes. Trust me, it is better for everyone involved. 🙂 Have fun!!
PS. Soul Cycle is NOT FOR ME either 😉
hot chocolate…yes please!!
Cookie bake a thon-yummy!!!
No Cherry Blossom for me this year-I will be running the Hot Chocolate 15k in Philly the day before. I will be volunteering though 🙂 and running it next year for sure 😉
Happy Holidays!
I wish I were good at baking. Growing up, my nana and grandmother did all the holiday baking and I miss them so much. I did not get that gene at all. We do holiday movie days and hot cocoa and popcorn. Hiking in the rain is a tradition we have been keeping for the past few years.
I have no races on my 2016 calendar yet, I just have not taken time to focus on those.
I just looked to see what weekend the Cherry Blossom was but, I hope to be away that weekend. I hope to do it one of these years!
