Once again, David and Scott gave me a reason to brave the cold this December with another fun round of the #RunChat running treasure hunt — also known as #RunChatHunt.
I’m not sure what the rules were and I didn’t win any prizes, but I had fun plotting my routes to get pictures of as many items on the list as I could. To make my runs even more festive, I listened to my Xmas Playlist (you can see my list fast-paced holiday songs here) and warmed up afterwards with a peppermint mocha. 🙂
I was surprised that I couldn’t find any old political signs, and the holiday displays in my neighborhood weren’t very tacky–unlike the one I saw last year! I had a run planned that could have gotten me the train picture, but that’s the run I had to skip because I wasn’t feeling well. I knew I wouldn’t be able to find a farm animal–I’m pretty sure Tiger Lilly doesn’t count!

Have you participated in a running treasure hunt?
Did you play along with #RunChatHunt?
i always want to do one of these but then totally forget until i see someone post something about it! so fun!!
Aw man. I completely missed out on this. I’ve been missing out on #RunChat for probably a month or two now. Really need to get back into that one. Always fun.
Oooo. That’s a pretty cool idea for a hunt!
Oh I’m sorry I missed this! I haven’t been able to make a #Runchat in a while – I’m going to try to get back to them in January.
I love the #RunChat scavenger hunts! So fun! There are always a few strange/difficult ones thrown in for good measure, right? Hope you have a great weekend and a wonderful holiday week!
I also did the runchat hunt but I didn’t win anything either. But it was still fun doing it.
I don’t play along – hard to hunt from my treadmill! But they look fun…
Hmmm. Maybe if you watch TV on the treadmill you could watch for the items in your shows. 😉
I wonder if that would count!
Oh, I should do something like this with my boys – I think they would enjoy it!!
I bet they would!
I have never done this, but cute idea and good run motivation.
I have never heard of a running treasure hunt before but this sounds liek a lot of fun, plus good motivation to get out there and run!
Yes, it was fun to plot my routes to get photos of the items.
So fun! We have a few super tacky houses a few streets over – I always want to know where they store the stuff!
