Thank you for stopping by for the December edition of the Ultimate Coffee Date! It’s nice to have this opportunity to catch up before the hustle and bustle of the season takes over.
(Use the code above to grab the Ultimate Coffee Date badge for your blog!)
If we were having coffee, I would ask if you had a good Thanksgiving, if you did any Black Friday shopping, and if you got any good Cyber Monday deals. I did no shopping whatsoever on Friday, but I did pick up one gift at a local store on Small Business Saturday.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I am sad that I won’t be able to participate in my annual Christmas cookie bake-a-thon this year. ๐ Last year was my fifteenth year of gathering with friends for a day of baking and gabbing, but this year I just can’t fit it in my schedule. I still will bake cookies to give away to family and friends, but it won’t be as much fun on my own.
If we were having coffee, I would ask if you’ve put up your Christmas tree yet. I bought a fresh wreath from my church last weekend, but we won’t put up our (artificial) tree for another week or two. It will be fun to see this little guy again!
If we were having coffee, I would remind you to register for the Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run lottery (registration is open through December 12), and ask you to consider making a donation in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through my fundraising page here.

Our tree is not up yet eitherโฆwaiting for the kids to be home from school to help decorate ๐
Thanks for the coffee! Yes the tree is up and the ornaments are on! Now I am in Phoenix for the Hot Chocolate 15K. FYI- I love Christmas cookies ๐
No tree for us yet – we may go get one on Sunday. Trying to get my husband to get the lights up today ๐
It ended up being a rainy day here, so I put our tree up, but my husband couldn’t do the outside lights. Now I can relax for a while!
I’ve never done a cookie bake-a-thon with my friends, but that sounds like it definitely would’ve been fun! I hear you on the busy hectic schedule; hope you get a chance for some rest & relaxation!
It really is a nice way to spend time together and take home a ton of cookies for gifting and gorging! ๐ Hopefully my schedule won’t be so crazy next year.
I am so glad that our coffee date is back! I am so looking forward to meeting new friends and catching up with some old ones. I entered the CB lottery too-I need redemption from last year when I had to drop out due to injury. Enjoy your coffee!
Thanks for hosting a great linkup. This is my first time joining, but it definitely won’t be my last ๐
I bought a tiny tree from Trader Joe’s. In my tiny apartment that is all I need ๐
Thanks for joining! I look forward to seeing you again next month. ๐
Oh no, I’m so bummed for you that you aren’t able to do your cookie-a-thon. I always love all the cookies you make.
No tree for us ๐
Hah! But your holiday card from last year was on the top of the stack when I pulled them out with my decorations today – I save photo cards for reminiscing year after year. ๐
Thanks for hosting the linkup! I was glad to find it. ๐
My tree is up, but is currently naked. Hoping to decorate it today! Just fitting everything in this year seems tougher than previous years.
We just put up our tree today! A little early for us, but our schedule is so hectic the rest of the month it was the only time we had!
I thought I saw on FB or instagram that you put up the tree?!
We ended up doing ours the weekend before Thanksgiving – usually we don’t break the holidays but this year we made an exception.
I bet a fresh wreath smells amazing. And no tree here.
First time I have joined the link up, thanks ! I have put up our tree, but its only got lights on it. I haven’t found the time yet to put the decorations. I will do it this weekend !
I’ve glad you found us! Hope to see you again in January!
