I feel like I am still recovering from my 8-day, three-city, cross-country business trip even though I’ve been home for a week now. (Did you see my pictures from running in Phoenix or hiking in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve?) I think the change in the weather and the looming stress of the holidays are taking a toll! On the last day of my trip, I was in New York City for a meeting, and it was warm enough to wear shorts for my o’fog-thirty run.
By the time I got home that afternoon, a cold front was moving in. I quickly changed into dog walking clothes so I could stretch my legs and enjoy the warm sunshine before winter weather made an appearance. As soon as I stepped out the door, I was struck by the autumn colors that greeted me.
Since I had been in Phoenix, a commercial area in Plano,
and the heart of New York City,
I hadn’t seen trees with fall colors.
I love the variety of trees and colors in my neighborhood.
But it looks like a lot of trees are losing their leaves already!
Is it fall where you are?
Did you get caught by the cold front that swept across the country last week?

Beautiful pics. The trees are gorgeous this time of year, the temps today not so much 🙂
I wish it could be fall colors all year round!
We are at the tail end of the fall colors – lots of brown around these days!!
And, yes – very cold here for the past week. I think today we actually made it up to freezing for the first time in a week.
Beautiful pictures! I wish I had a chance to go hiking in the Shenandoah this fall, but looks like I won’t be able to. Always next year.
I miss fall colors. We don’t get that in SC.
