This month not only marks my fourth year of blogging, it also marks my first anniversary of indoor cycling at RevolveDC. The great people at Revolve were willing to help me celebrate both anniversaries by letting me host a giveaway for a Revolve 5 ride package–the same package that got me hooked on RevolveDC when I won it from MCM Mama last year!
My smile doesn’t get anymore genuine than that!
I was hooked on indoor cycling at RevolveDC after my first class. I have never had so much fun working so hard, and I have never sweat so much in full-blast air conditioning!
As I kept going back to RevolveDC, I came up with a number of reasons why I love indoor cycling. You can read about them in this post here (also linked in the image below).
In the fall, I tried to get in a Revolve ride at least once a week to help me get ready for the epic bike ride my husband and I were planning to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.
Doesn’t every one ride 67 miles for their anniversary lunch?
After I surprised myself with a PR at the Army Ten Miler, I realized that cycling really is good cross-training for my running.
This giveaway has ended, but if you live in the Northern Virginia area–including Washington, D.C. or the Maryland suburbs–you really should check out RevolveDC.
I would live to win this. I did spin classes sometimes when I still belonged to a gym, but it’s been a looking time. I’ve heard great things about Revolve from other MRTT’rs.
I have never tried indoor cycling. I would love the chance to give it a spin!
Uh, no pun intended? 😉
I love cycling at Revolve. I was thinking of bringing my son tomorrow to check it out too. Agreed cycling is great cross training for runners. Great giveaway.
I love yoga classes at studios so I can pick the style I want to practice but have also started to enjoy spin classes a lot this summer
Loved Revolve the one time I went and would love to go back!
I love spin but have never been to Revolve. I know some of my running mamas are borderline obsessed with it though! 😉 Would love to give this a try as I’m planning to invest in my first road bike and sign up for a Tri in spring 2015.
I started cycling too back in the 70s to compliment my marathon and longer distance training. Sure helps strengthen the knees. I am luck I get to ride outside year round. I have done spinning, trainer rides on occasion but it drives me crazy. I prefer outside even if it’s at 4 a.m. with a bright light on the front of my bike…hate indoor anything really and have take my yoga out to my back patio recently.
it has been awhile since i’ve been to a cycling class but I love them! much better on a bike at the gym then out on the road/trail 🙂 I have heard good things about revolve!
I’m a regular bike commuter but have never tried indoor. Thanks for the x-training idea.
I used to teach an indoor cycling class and I loved it. It is such a great workout.
I have been wanting to try Revolve, and I love indoor cycling (and barre). I’m a barre addict this past year, so I would love to try their combo class!
Loving yoga! Spinning would be a great add!!
Oh sounds great! I love TRX and love love spin classes!
I’m not in DC, so I’m not going to enter (but I will tweet out!). What I am dying to know is how you look so great in the on-cycle photo! I’m a hot and sweaty mess in just about every picture….I think about working out and instantly melt!
LOL, that’s a “before” picture, when we were setting up. I am a sweaty mess at the end. 😉
Sounds like a good workout!
I do LOVE my spin class 🙂
My fave studio class is BodyPump…nothing like the feeling of strength I get after I’ve finished a class!
I am excited about this. I need more cross training ideas. I also haven’t really done any cycling, so it may be a good one for me to do?!?!
It was such a coincidence to start reading your post this morning. I just recently moved to NOVA and am wanting to start exercise classes. I tried a barre class in Alexandria and really liked being able to meet people and get in a routine. However I did want more cardio and everyone had told me to find a spin class. I have never done spin before so I admit I am a little intimidated but your post really opened me up to the idea. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my gosh! Welcome to my blog and to the area. I live in Alexandria, and Revolve is really easy to get to. Even if you don’t win, I hope you check it out!
How fun! I suppose I’m too far away for it but luckily I just nabbed a living social deal today for a local cycle studio that was recently opened by a fellow blogger! 🙂
That’s pretty cool! I hope you enjoy it!
I’ve actually never done a studio class but have always wanted to. This looks cool.
Im so excited to try spinning…and at revolve – i have heard so many great things!
Great article link on MRTT and thanks for hosting a giveaway! I did a few spin classes before I got pregnant and one at revolve, but would love to try more for cross training!
