One of my goals for April was to get back on my bike. Despite starting the month with back-to-back race weekends, I have managed to go for two bike rides with my husband, including our cycling tour to see the cherry blossoms.
I also was invited to a special “blogger ride” at Revolve, and it was great to be back in the saddle again!
Can you see me peeking out behind the woman in the middle in pink?
You know I fell in love with spinning after my first visit to Revolve, and you will know that I am still crazy about it when I tell you that this event was the same day as the GW Parkway Classic. Yep, after pushing myself to a course PR and enjoying a post-race beer, I suffered through an ice bath so I could beg ask my legs to at least fake their way through a full hour-long spin class.
Smiling already!
I ended up riding pretty hard. The instructor for this class was Alex, and she is so motivating! Plus her playlist was awesome. It also was nice to meet other bloggers, including Courtney (who I did not get a picture with 🙁 ), Ericka and Deborah.
Obviously this was taken after class!
If you are in the Northern Virginia or Washington, D.C. area, you will want to know that Revolve is having a special one-day sale on their 10 and 20 ride packages on Wednesday, April 23. (You can get more information on their Facebook page.) I certainly will be stocking up so I can get back in shape for long weekend bike rides.
Have you tried a new fitness activity this spring?
Do you have a favorite group fitness class?

So great meeting you at the blogger ride. I love meeting other DC fitness bloggers and especially other MRTT ladies. Hope to see you soon!
Definitely!
So fun that you got to meet other bloggers at the class – glad you are riding again!
Nice guns my friend!
Your love of the spin class is contagious.
Thanks on both accounts! I’d love to take a class with you some day!
You’re lucky that you have those beautiful blossoms to ride to! We don’t have blossoms yet, but I did go out for my first ride of the season over the weekend.
Way to go! There have been a few times this spring that the weather cooperated and I wanted to bike but didn’t. Dang it!
