Last weekend my Mom brought me a HUGE bag of kale from her garden.
I didn’t have time to make kale chips out of it all, so I did some crowd-sourcing and some Googling and found a simple recipe for sauteed kale at eatingwell.com. Continue reading

I had a blast at Fitbloggin’ last year, and was disappointed when Roni announced that it would be in Portland this year. Call me selfish, but why did it have to move from almost in my backyard to clear across the country as soon as I discovered how awesome it was?
As a gadget-obsessed runner, I refer to running without my Garmin and iPod as “running naked.” I may have done it once, as part of a #runchat challenge last year, or by accident, when I got to my running path and realized that I left my Garmin at home and my iPod was dead, but it certainly is not how I prefer to run.

I feel like I’ve already done an out-and-back course in the weeks leading up to the Lawyers Have Heart 10K–or least made a few u-turns.
At first, I wasn’t too psyched about the race, and focused my efforts on fundraising for the American Heart Association.

To everyone who has donated, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
