I was slightly annoyed with the new Gmail inbox, but after a few days I got used to it. I didn’t mind having my junk emails sorted to the “Promotions” tab, and it was pretty cool having all my Facebook update emails sorted to the “Social” tab. When I learned that you can “teach” Gmail where to sort emails from a given sender, I thought that could be pretty useful.
When I was a kid, these Calgon commercials made “Calgon, take me away!” a silly way to say, “I need a vacation!”
Well, I need a vacation, but I don’t really enjoy bubble baths. On the other hand, I do enjoy eating Chobani® yogurt, and their new yogurt flavors at least take my taste buds on vacation. 😉 Continue reading
In the year since I starting cycling with my husband, we’ve ridden on bike paths in local national parks, like the Mount Vernon Trail and Rock Creek Park, and on rails-to-trails bike paths, like the Capital Crescent Trail and the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. I generally prefer the rails-to-trails paths because they are wider, but it is nice to have so much variety and so many options to choose from. Here are some of our favorite Washington DC bike paths.
Before we got Tiger Lilly, my husband and I agreed to share dog walking duty. He usually leaves for work by 6:00 am, while I don’t need to leave until about 7:30, but I didn’t want to be responsible for waking a dog every morning.
When we first got Tiger Lilly a year and a half ago, we took turns walking her in the mornings. Gradually, though, I became the morning dog walker, and now I like it that way. It’s a nice way to start my day, and a decent warm up before my workout. I look forward to our o’dark-thirty walks–and the rest of our morning routine together. Continue reading
I had heard so many great things about Yurbuds®, when my Zippearz® went bust just before the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run, I knew it was time to give Yurbuds® a try. Since I also needed new earbuds for my iPhone, I decided to try the “talk” model, which includes a microphone.
I had sizing/comfort issues with the set I bought at Best Buy, but I was able to exchange them for a smaller style through Yurbuds® customer service.
