I Am Enough For Advent

Today is the second Sunday of Advent, the “season” in the Christian church calendar when we get ready for Christmas. As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus, we also watch for signs of His presence in our lives today, and look forward to His promised return.

Holiday Pies

My husband ate the last slice of pumpkin pie last night, but with Christmas only three weeks away (!) I know I’ll be enjoying pie again soon. While we usually vary our main course (turkey at Thanksgiving, ham at Christmas), we almost always have the same pies.

Staying Motivated To Run Through The Holidays

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us and we’re a few days into December, the hectic holiday season is in full swing. We have our office holiday party this weekend, I’ve got two business-related holiday dinners on the same night next week, and I really will have to do some shopping soon. This time of year it can be hard to stick with your fitness program, but there are so many reasons to keep exercising.
