Chatting About Copenhagen Over Coffee

Welcome to the November 2026 edition of the Ultimate Coffee Date—a blogger link up Deborah and I host the first Friday of every month so we can catch up on all the things as if we were having coffee. Even though I got home a few weeks ago, I had such a great time you’ll have to put up with me chatting about Copenhagen.

You know how this works—grab the badge, link your post, and comment on the other blogs in the link-up.

Chatting About Copenhagen

If we were having coffee, I would tell you the first thing we did after getting off the train at the central train station was find the Starbucks. My husband didn’t believe me when I told him that was my plan, but he knew better than to fight me on it!

Looking rough after an overnight flight.

I usually love it when my plane gets in early, but our flight was an hour shorter than scheduled and I wasn’t thrilled about losing that hour of sleep! I knew I’d be in such a better mood after a grande Americano with full cream. 😋

If we were having coffee, I would gush about the gorgeous weather we enjoyed while walking around the city until our hotel room was ready. We made our way to Nyhavn which was stunning in the bright sunshine.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that after brunch in Nyhavn we made our way to Rosenborg Castle. I hadn’t done the tour before, so we bought tickets and enjoyed the gardens outside until our entry time.

Inside you can see several floors of still partially furnished rooms, and the “treasury” in the basement with the crown jewels. After doing our self-guided tour, we took a leisurely stroll through the botanical gardens until it was time to check into our hotel. It was great first day!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you my daily walk to Starbucks took me under this quirky sign from an old public health campaign.

½ liter mælk hver dag – hele livet
1/2 liter milk every day for health

Can you tell the cup fills up!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you about our fun evening in Tivoli Gardens, which was all decked out for Halloween.

We skipped the rides, but enjoyed the festive atmosphere
—and Danish hot dogs and fries. 🌭🍟

So pretty!

I already told you how we caught a train to run around Kastellet and visit the Little Mermaid statue, but I think she deserves another visit!

I had such a great time in Copenhagen, I hope to go back soon!
