Instead of writing another valentine to running, I’m expressing my thoughts in a poem of sorts. I can’t take all the credit for the writing, but since the Bible is in the public domain, I don’t have to worry about being sued for copyright infringement.
The Gospel According To Running
Running is patient (although runners are not),
but Running is not kind.
If you are envious or boastful or arrogant or rude,
Running will put you in your place with a bad run.
Runners may insist on their own way,
and become irritable and resentful when they can’t run, but
Running does not rejoice in race bandit wrongdoings,
but rejoices in moments of truth.
Running bears all stressful things away,
makes you believe all things are possible,
keeps you hoping for all personal record things,
and has you enduring all weather things.
May my love of running never end.

Will you be celebrating your love of running this weekend?
What a perfect twist on running and the gospel! I don’t think St Paul would be offended at all.
Very creative Coco! Have a great Valentines’ day
Well done 🙂 Okay, I may be slightly irritable lol

Very clever Coco! I’ll be celebrating my love of running on the mill this weekend, I’m afraid. Or weather is nothing short of sinful.
