F*cktastic First Week Of February

February is off to a f*cktastic start at work. For some reason, all my clients have big, urgent projects they want done yesterday. But I chose f*cktastic as my word of the week because it’s not all bad. My clients are good to work with. The projects are interesting. I’ve got great people on my team. It’s just stressful until I get things mapped out and feel like I have a handle on everything. Bitmoji desk

Sure, I’d love to help!

F*cktastic First Week of February

My workouts this week were f*cktastic too. My body needs more rest than I am giving it, so I tried to cut back on the intensity of my workouts, but it’s hard when my favorite instructors teach the most challenging classes.

I hit a huge Peloton milestone this week—my 1200th strength class. Despite my workload, I was able to step away from my computer and take a live class with Robin. #priorities

1200 strength classes

She only did a handful of shout-outs in the pre-show, but I was the first one! Cari joined me for the class and heard it too!

The rest of my week went like this:

Monday: Core + Tread Bootcamp + Tread Running (4.5 miles)
I enjoyed Denis’s Eminem ride so much, I was willing to brave Adrian’s bootcamp. I skipped the last bootcamp-style floor section to round up my mileage on the tread.

Tuesday: Eminem Bike Bootcamp + 1200th Strength Class
I only realized Monday afternoon that I had taken my 1199th strength class. To save my 1200th for a live class, I took Jess Sims’s Eminem Bike Bootcamp first thing in the morning.

Wednesday: Core + 5.1 Scooby Miles
It was finally “warm” enough to take Scooby for a run, although we did have to dodge a few icy patches. I’m not sure why I thought Daniel’s glutes + legs class was a good idea after my run—I must have been delirious with endorphins.

Thursday: Core +  Upper Body Strength + 30 min Eminem Ride
I finished the Eminem classes I plan to take with Cliff’s 30 min ride (in German with subtitles). Of all the classes I took, Denis’s ride was by far the best.

Peloton workouts

Friday: Core + 3.25 Treadmill Miles
It was 60F when I took Scooby out, but also raining, so I hopped on my treadmill for a 30 min run with Daniel. He made every other song a “hill,” so I opted for a lower incline for  a shorter time to keep my Achilles quiet.

Saturday:  8.25 Scooby Miles
It was 30F when I took Scooby out, with a “feels like” of 20F! Luckily I only felt a strong wind towards the end of my run, or I might not have made it this far. Even though we only got rain yesterday, there were a lot of icy patches on the sidewalks from the freezing overnight temperatures. Scooby doesn’t like running in the street, but even he was losing his footing!

Thanks to Deborah for giving me these cozy skirt sport leggings!
The skirt really helps keep my booty warm  😉

Sunday: Core + 1 mile walk with Scooby + 30 min CPY On Demand
Making today a quasi-rest day, with just a core workout to keep up my Peloton streak, and of course a walk with Scooby. Oh, and a short Corepower Yoga class to counter-act the extra time at my computer.

A huge thank you to Deborah and Kim for hosting the Weekly Run Down link up.

Love that word… most of my weeks are like that. So I’m leaving on vacation. Should be an improvement.

Feels like 20 is a heat wave here. It seems like it’s mostly sub zero. What a winter? I’m glad I have races to train for or i may not leave the house.

Ha ha, I like the title of this post.
Congrats on the strength class- that’s a huge milestone. Glad you got a shoutout! And you got some good running in this week- sounds like your achilles is good.
I hope you have a less eventful time at work this week!

  3. I’m sorry Feb started off so rough. No wonder you’re tackling all the tough classes!

60?????? You’re gonna make me cry, I swear! Yes, it did get warmer mid week but obviously there are no 60s here (and probably won’t be for months). Glad you got to enjoy it, anyway!

  4. Kim at Running on the Fly says:

That’s a great word to describe your first week of February, LOL. I’m going to do some cycling this afternoon, so thanks for the reminder of Denis’ Eminem class. There are SO MANY classes I’ve bookmarked, from my January hiatus, that I will have plenty to keep me busy on the bike. Gosh…60-degrees????? So jealous!!!

  5. Wendy says:

Yeah, I think every February feels like your word, lol. The weather is all over the place and winter is getting old. I hope things settle down at work for you!

    From 60 to 30! What a swing.

    1200 strength classes! Incredible.

You have a good attitude about work! It helps to work with good people. Good luck with it all!

that sounds like a perfect word to describe your month so far. Impressive Peloton milestone! Nice job with all those workouts this week despite your crazy schedule. Hope it calms down a bit this week

  8. kookyrunner says:

Yes! That’s an amazing strength milestone – congrats! 🙂 I found Adrian and Jess’s Eminem bootcamp classes to be so hard, but I loved them!

So sorry to hear about work 🙁 It’s frustrating when it seems like all the hard stuff is happening at the same time. I hope that you’re able to carve out some time to relax after these projects are done.

  9. That is the perfect word! I’m sorry for all the work stress – hopefully things will settle down some this week.

    Congrats again on hitting 1200!

  10. Cari says:

I feel you on needing more rest than you’re giving it. I think that was part of yesterday’s “Nope”. But walking better than not doing anything
So fun to celebrate 1200 with you and get us both a text break. Good luck balancing all the things this week

  11. Marcia says:

Wow congrats on 1200. As someone who recently hit 100 that sounds completely amazing. At least you enjoy your clients and your team. I cannot always say the same, although I have to say, knock wood that work has stabilized a bit for me. I’m doing an Eminem Bike TODAY!

  12. Well done on 1200 strength sessions! Wow!!! That is consistency! Glad that even if there is a lot of work, your clients are nice to work with. It does make a huge difference!

  13. runswithpugs says:

It may have been f*cktastic, but at least we get all the Scooby photos.

This winter has truly been a mess.

Congratulations on 1200 classes! That’s a huge accomplishmentt!

  14. MCM Mama says:

Ooh, a new f*ck word to add to my vocabulary. F words are my favorite! I’m tired just reading about all your workouts!
