I’m rarely “ready” for Thanksgiving–it always seems to sneak up on me after my birthday–but this year more than ever I am ready to take some time to focus on being grateful.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
I am grateful that my daughter is healthy, happy,
and enjoys spending time with us.
I am grateful for the time I’ve had with my son since he graduated from college,
and his burgeoning culinary skills.
The lemon pound cake he made from scratch for my birthday was amazing!
I am grateful for a husband who’s always up for a crazy adventure.
I am grateful for the time we had with Tiger Lilly.
I am grateful for sunrise runs, and friends willing to enjoy them with me.
I am grateful for a job I love,
colleagues who are friends, and clients I enjoy working with.

It’s no surprise that today’s Wednesday Word is gratitude–although I guess it could have been gluttony. 😉
Haha! I’m not much of a glutton, so I’m glad Deb didn’t pick that word!
Happy Thanksgiving Coco, and enjoy your family!
I’m less gluttonous than I used to be, but it’s hard to resist a second scoop of stuffing and another slice of pie …
I also love that Phillipians verse 😉 Ha! gluttony is ever-apparent this time of year, but running helps me keep that under control. Happy Thanksgiving!
True! I definitely plan to squeeze in a run before I start baking pies tomorrow.
Lots to be thankful for this year for me as well! Have a really great Thanksgiving
Same to you — I hope to see you soon!
I know the feeling about not being ready for Thanksgiving.
I love early morning runs. They are the best
I feel as though I am never ready for ANYTHING! And I start ahead of time. How does that happen?
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Coco!
I think the more time you have, the more you do – have a great holiday!
So much to be thankful and grateful for. I love that Thanksgiving comes on a Thursday–truly a Thankful Thursday! Happy Turkey Day!
Great reminder about all that we have to be thankful for. And that cake your son makes looks amazing! I hope you have a great Thanksgiving 🙂
That cake was amazing. I hope he makes it for me again!
Great post! I’ve been trying hard to be more grateful throughout the year. It’s so easy to focus on what we don’t have, what we want, what others have. There is so much to be thankful for, running and non-running related. Great reminder 🙂
I think advertisers do their best to make us focus on what we don’t have, but when we stop to think about it, we do have much to be grateful for. I hope you have a nice holiday.
I love this post. This year, I’ve been feeling really grateful for my family and for being able to work in an area (blogging & sports nutrition) that I’m so passionate about.
It really is wonderful to have fulfilling work – and a supportive family.
Lots to be grateful for. I too feel luck to have a job I love & great colleagues. So happy that you have been able to spend time with your kids. They grow up so fast. Happy Thanksgiving and I am impressed by your pies I saw on FB !
We really do have so much to be grateful for, don’t we? I’ll have to keep “gluttony” in mind for next year. LOL
Thanks for linking up!
