Getting Wrapped Up In Christmas

Merry Christmas Eve!

Wrapped Up In Christmas

I can’t believe Christmas is upon us, but I’m as ready as I’ll ever be–I even got my wrapping done and added my gifts to the pile squeezed under our tree.

Yesterday I made a last-minute batch of easy Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies and tried out a new-to-me Cranberry Oatmeal Crumble Bar recipe. Today I’ve made the Cranberry Upside Down Cake my Mom wants every Christmas, and after church tonight I’ll put together the not-so-healthy egg/hash brown casserole I’ll pop in the oven tomorrow morning to balance out the peppermint bark I plan to have with my Christmas morning coffee.

Weekly Wrap

Before recapping my workouts, I want to give an extra thank you to Holly and Tricia for hosting the Weekly Wrap that’s helped me stay accountable and connected throughout this busy year, and to Lacy and Miranda for organizing the holiday gift card swap. It was fun being introduced to Kelly, and funny to learn that Deborah was paired with me!

Monday: Strength workout at home.
Did you see my review of the Quick Strength For Runners program?

My hard-earned Orange Theory Fitness Hell Week t-shirt!

Tuesday: 4.75 mi run
I thought it was going to be warmer so I swapped my Cyclebar day for a run. It was still in the 30s and my hands got cold, but I got to see this pretty tree in Frances Scott Key Park in Georgetown.

Wednesday: OTF Endurance Day

It took a 4% incline and 7.3 mph pace
to get my heart rate up into the orange zone.

Thursday: Strength workout at my office gym.
This time it was a 7 am conference call that interfered with my Cyclebar plans. I had the office gym to myself at 5:30 am, and got ready quickly enough to grab coffee from Starbucks and still make it to my desk at 6:50 am.

Friday: CycleBar
I knew my favorite yoga instructor was on vacation, so when I saw that one of my favorite indoor cycling instructors was teaching, I opted for Cyclebar over CorePowerYoga.

Saturday: 6.85 mi run
I was planning on a ~6 mile run, but my route planning was a bit off!

Star Wars Decorations for #RunChatHunt

Sunday:  60 min Hot Power Fusion class at CorePowerYoga
The room is warmer for HPF than CPY2 and the flow is slower. I find it a bit more restorative although it’s still challenging.

Once again, I wish you a very Merry Christmas,
and I hope you have fun unwrapping presents!

Do you plan your fitness classes around your favorite instructor’s schedule?
