5 Songs For Your Summer Playlist

One thing that amazes me about the indoor cycling instructors at Revolve is how they keep their playlists so fresh. Even though I’ve been going to Aimee’s class twice a week, I never feel like the music–or the workout–is the same. Now that my foot is starting to feel better, I’m making a list of songs I want to put on my summer playlist, so my iPod will be ready to go as soon as I am!

5 Songs For Your Summer Playlist

Here are the first five I’ve picked out:

1. Honey I’m Good (Andy Grammer)

2. Fight Song (Rachel Platten)

3. Worth It (Fifth Harmony)

4. Crazy Youngsters (Ester Dean)

5. This Summer’s Gonna Hurt Like A Mother … (Maroon Five)

(Did you see why this one has turned into my summer theme song?)

Ha. Reminds me of the time I had the Allman Brothers’ “Tied to the whipping post” near the end on my long run playlist and forgot and shuffled the list for a half. Not a fun song to hear at mile 8……

  2. i love honey i’m good!!

  3. HoHo Runs says:

I had not heard the first one. I like! And, This Summer’s Going to Hurt is NOT your theme song. No, no, no. (Although I just returned from getting a steroid shot in my elbow and I’m singing it right now!)

  4. Marcia says:

I am obsessed with that Maroon 5 song! Cannot play it enough. Honey I’m good was sort of my theme song at my tri when I finished the swim. I know it’s not what the song’s about, but the Caveman was SO worried I’d drown! Haha! laugh now.

I’ve really been liking fight song recently. Another one I’ve been enjoying on my playlist is Shut Up and Dance With Me.

  6. I put Fight Song on my playlist, thinking that this rocker might not want to run to it. Well, it came on for the first time during a rainy run, and it was just perfect. So it’s making the cut for my marathon playlist…

  7. I have never heard that Ester Dean song, thanks for sharing.
